They consistently make really good products! I love that this is an trimmer that I can easily change the blade and use different blades to create different cuts.
First of all the first measurement to the left side starts at 1/4 of an inch. The the right it starts at 1/2”. That’s not even the worst of it. The measurements to the left completely stop between the 3 1/4” to the 3 7/8” with absolutely no measurements at all between them!! The arm that swings out is completely orange and it is impossible to see the measurements on it. Those arm also extends too far up which makes the space where you line up the paper at the top to only 3”. Also.. it does not cut straight!! The lines on the board are even crooked! I was sooo much looking forward to getting a rotary cutter because the small little replacement trimmers are so expensive and I’ve actually purchased them new and not sharp!! I’ve totally given up on Fiskars!!
Excellent product - It has the attributes needed to do
larger projects.
I'm with the other reviewers when it comes to the arm. The measurements are molded, but not printed onto the arm. They are also very low profile, which makes them invisible to the eye and not tactile at all.
The cutting mat is also very easily damaged. How long will that last? How difficult is it to change out?
Since a lot of my crafting uses heavier weight cardstock, I was excited to get a decent rotary cutter for Christmas . Unfortunately, this is not a decent rotary cutter.
