I just bought this item (mine is a little different with a circle design on the front of the product) this past weekend and it is great. It cuts through paper, cardstock and photos very easily. I can trim down a piece of paper in seconds and I know that it's straight, rather than before when I used my scissors. I love the rubber feet that keep it in place on the tabletop, it does not slip around. I don't know how I got along without it before now!
My only complaint is that the blade seems to dull pretty quickly. I just bought it and it already seems that it's cutting a little ragged and needs to be replaced. Even with that being said, it's still a great product. I will be able to use it for many years to come.

I was surprised to see the negative reviews this product received. I am always buying new paper trimmers because I always am losing them or loning them to friends. This was by far my favorite trimmer I had gotten in a long time. Because of the way it is designed, it is SO easy to be accurate with your cutting. I had the last trimmer (the black one) and it was incredibly hard to see the numbers. I am an event planner and I make alot of my clients wedding invites and programs. I have to have a trimmer that i can cut extremely acurately and quickly with. I also love the rubber grip bottem. It stays in place on my table even when I am cutting quickly. I really love this trimmer and I can't imagine ever replacing it.
I recently purchased this as my very first paper trimmer. I just love it! It is small enough to take anywhere I want to crop, but sturdy enough to accurately cut just about any papers I want to scrap with. The best thing about this trimmer is the ease of use. It has rubber feet to prevent slipping on your desk, the base and the slide both have rulers for easier measuring, and the flip out arm extends to a full 12 inches for even larger cuts. This trimmer comes with an extra blade, but I've been using mine exclusively for all of my cutting with the original blade and I haven't had to replace it yet. This is a great value - a must have!

This is my all time favorite tool! What could I ever do without my handy paper trimmer? When I first began scrapbooking, I used to use a craft knife and a ruler to TRY to make straight lines.. you can imagine how frustrating that was! When I upgraded to this Fiskars Paper Trimmer, crafting was so easy!!!
I love how I can cut through mostly any weight of paper to get a perfectly straight line. I also love the pull out ruler that aligns your longer paper just right. The refills are easy to find in most department stores and a bonus, its size makes it easy to take to crops. :)

I own two trimmers and this is my favorite. It is sturdy and portable. It cuts straight, and the arm and notches at the top make it easy to measure and trim larger cuts of paper. I always scrap with my trimmer right by my side, but tend to move it out of my way when piecing together the layout. This lightweight trimmer is easy to grab with one hand, which makes it my favorite. The blade is very easy to change. I don't have a scoring blade for it, but I don't need one. I just use the back-end of my tweezers to score my paper (I score right where the blade would go).

I'm not an experienced scrapper, but I love this tool. It's indispensible and the most fundamental scrapping item. It was the first item I purchased and I use it constantly. Having the arm that pops out for larger measurements is wonderful. The motion of the blade is so smooth. Having the ruler marks on the paper holder is a great idea, and the crosshairs on the blade itself make it really easy to line things up. I use it to cut paper as well as photos and it never fails. It's also a convenient size. I'd highly recommend it.

I bought this as my first trimmer and have not been disappointed. I have used it constantly it trim my pictures, cardstock, and paper. The gridlines and extendable "arm" make measurements easy, while the rubber feet keep it in place so there is no slipping! I also really like the line-up notch on the blade cartridge that helps you to make sure you are cutting where you want to cut. I would definately recommend this to beginners like me who are still learning the basics of scrapbooking!
I accidentally broke my pidly little 8 inch trimmer that I have had for years and only paid $1 for, so I thought I would rather have a better quality one and so I bought this trimmer. I wasn't sure if I would like it because I haven't really done the rotary thing, but I absolutely love this trimmer. I find it very easy to use the grid lines on it and my 6 year old can also use this as with a guillatine that I was looking at, I wasn't really keen on the idea of her using it!
I could not live without my 12x12 Fiskars trimmer. Seriously! It is the perfect size to take with me to crops and store in my scraproom. It is lightweight and easy to use. I love the little bar that comes out from underneath to measure larger pieces. The blade slides easily along the bar and is inexpensive to replace when it dulls. I am not a fan of the orange color, but hey... it's still a great product. I would recommend it as good quality for the price.

i have had several trimmers in this price range and this is the best by far. the blade has stayed sharp much longer. i have yet to replace it where i was replacing blades monthly with previous ones. this is a GREAT trimmer in my mind. i have not had any problems as mentioned by some others. i have been using mine for some time now and as long as i am not going at a super fast rate of speed my cutter cuts beautifully straight lines.
