I've always loved cutting paper. I used to sit for hours cutting things out of magazines or catalogs when I was younger. And when I first started scrapbooking, I continued to enjoy cutting out embellishments for my pages. However, I have arthritis and now my joints get very stiff, often preventing me from being able to use traditional scissors. But when I got these, I found that I could enjoy cutting as much as I did when I was a kid. They're really comfortable on the joints with no little holes to get your fingers stuck in. And they have very fine, sharp tips so you can cut into corner or around curves with the same ease. With these scissors I can cut the most intricate designs without having to take any pain medication!

Knowing these scissors were Fiskars, I immediately though they would be great. I was given these scissors as part of a present, and would deffinately not buy them again. I don't have a cover for them and they are really quite sharp. They are great for fussy cutting due to the fine point, but I find the locking clip moves up and down while I'm cutting and sometimes locks the scissors while I'm using them. Also after using them for only 3 weeks they are already needing an oil? They don't want to open up fully (without help) which can slow down cutting time. The way you grip these scissors can be a little tricky to get used to, but the spring deffinately helps with hand-fatigue when doing a big cutting job.

I've read all the other reviews written about these scissors before my review, and, I agree with everything already written. I want to add that the scissors come with a little plastic cover for the sharp blades, and, so, they're very safe. I do like the little locking feature pointed out in another review for the same safety reasons. I am a beginner, and in the books I read about scrapbooking, I found that fine/detail-work scissors were recommended, and, that scissors with the spring-assisted feature were recommended, especially for the fine/detail-work. A younger scrapbooking friend was puzzled and thought the "regular" scissors would be better for me, but, although I'm not "old" per se (I'm turning 38 in less than a month), it is definitely easier on my hands, and, I appreciate a pair of scissors that won't trap my fingers in its finger/grip holes.

This product made the impossible possible. I spent 30 years using right-handed scissors or poorly made left-handed ones. I love collage but all the cutting, snipping and trimming kept me away from it. Same with scrapbooking. Fiskars made the first trimmer that worked and they made these. If my arthritis is bothering me I can still use them with ease because they are simple to hold and the spring does half the work! The blades are very high quality. They can be sharpened professionally once or twice (I do a LOT of cutting) but keep the edge a very long time. They also have a super sharp point perfect for tiny-tiny snips or super detail work. The quality also allows these to work on more that paper -- I've even cut thin leather. This is the best out there. You won't be disappointed.
I have these scissors, and they are AMAZING!
They are comfy to hold and use(thanks to the rubber handles!)
I love that they are springloaded, it just makes things easier. I never thought that i'd care about this, but using normal scissors after just isn't the same.
I like that they lock closed(cause these scissors are SHARP!!).
I absolutely LOVE these scissors, but am also rather scared when using them too...(there is actually a photo on here somewhere with these scissors embedded in someone's thigh!!!! Yes, i am VERY serious!!!). These suckers are the sharpest scissors around!!! They do come with a cap for the tip though, which i recommend using even if you put them down for 1 second...accidents can EASILY happen!
These babies are my new best friend! I love them! I could not believe how sharp the tip was and it cut so precisely! It amazed me how it could turn and get into all of the nooks and crannies that I needed for them to be in. It took me back at first, only a little, about handling them, but in no time, I was used to them! They are much easier than fitting my fat fingers into the little holes of the other scissors that I used before. The Softtouch grip is really nice as well! These are my new cannot live without scissors!!!
These are great scissors for that detail work that your regular, chunky scissors just can't handle. I've used these Micro-Tip scissors for cutting out more intricate work that I'd NEVER be able to do with regular scissors.
I LOVE that they are super sharp and come to a teeny point on the end...the blades are thinner and narrower...it locks closed...and it has that rubbery soft stuff on the handles so it makes cutting comfortable.

These are perfect! I had an accident last year and cut the tendons in my right hand in two places. Since my surgery, I can no longer handle regular scissors. They have to be without the thumb and index finger holes. I bought these out of desperation to be able to use scissors again and I absolutely LOVE them. They are sharp, convenient and well worth the $14.
TRY THEM! You'll never go back to regular scissors again!

I've had these scissors for more than 5 years; yes, the same pair. And they still work amazingly well for me after all this time. The tip is super sharp for any precision cutting you'd need to do, and the spring action makes cutting even easier. My pair actually came with a blade guard that fits snuggly over the blades so they stay safe while I transport them with me. That's a big plus with little ones around as well...
This pair of scissors was one of my first scrapbooking purchases years ago. I cannot do a layout without these. I can cut the most intricate patterns with the micro-tip. The spring loaded handle make it easy to use. They are always in my scrapbook bag. I have purchased many of these as gifts for new scrappers because they always want to borrow mine at crops and classes. This pair has been a very good investment.
