These are perfect for blending or layering Distress Inks over a larger area. While the applicator tools were out of stock when I placed my order, my lovely fiancee knocked up some timber blocks for me to use (we just attached the blue side of the foam with hardware grade double sided tape). These are essentially a larger version of the daubers.
If I paid attention to videos that give instructions and hints on how to use the products I buy, I'd be a lot better off! this product is a case in point. I've been using the inks w/out the foam pads and let me tell you, this way is easier and way less messy. I bought three packages and may end up buying more because I like them so well.
I just got this in the mail and I love it!!!! I'm glad I got two! This works perfectly with Tim Holtz ink pads when you want to distress tags, pages, and any embellishments. I'm glad I have this tool to use and now I have spares to hold me until I run out!! This is a must buy and it works hand in hand with the whole Tim Holtz line!!!!
If you have distress inks you must have the ink blending tool. Instead of getting a blending tool for each distress ink color (expensive!) I purchased these foam refills for each color I have. It is a cost-effective way to have a great applicator for every color. I simply store each foam refill in a tiny ziploc bag.

I LOVE distress inks and using the blending foams is really necessary if you want to get the full use out of your inks. The great thing is, you can use them over and over. I wrote the ink color on the top of the foam pad in a sharpie and use the same one for that color over and over again.

These make putting ink on your paper, chipboard, flowers, whatever..so easy! Make sure you really get the ink on it-don't just dab the stamp pad and start from the edges and move in. It's perfect for adding that extra color and depth!
I had been using a little foam blender I picked up, I decided to break down and get the Ranger... WOW!! I'm glad I didn't wait any longer, these are so worth it. They just blend so much smoother than anything else. You can reuse the pads so I have one for each color ink I use. I will for sure buy more of these.
I love this product!!! I use distress inks a lot on my scrapbook pages. With the blending foam it takes away the lines left from using the stamp pad directly it also gives you control of the amount of color you want and precisely put it any where on a page by using the inks on the blending foam.
I love to use the blending foam to ink the edges of my projects. It is less messy & less harsh than doing it direct to paper. They last along time and if you use the same color pallet you can use one pad for several ink pads. But I prefer to have 1 pad for each of my distress inks.
The blending foam refills are a MUST HAVE for my scrapping stash. I'm a serious lover of all things inked, and these just make blending so much easier. I've ordered 4 packs of these just so I don't run out. They last for quite awhile and am so pleased to have them.
