The sheet is flat and made of a thin material and you can easily roll it up for storage. It is not recommended that you fold it when storing. Clean up is quick and easy, just wipe it down with a paper towel while crafting and when you’re done simply wash it with water, dry and store.

I bought this on a whim because I liked the idea of the easy clean. It is true that the paint and other crafting items will scrap off, but they don't scrap off as easy as expected. As the picture also indicates, this sheet comes rolled in a box. When I took mine out of the box, it was curled up and still hasn't straightened out. Maybe it will with more use, but I guess I had a magic paper expectation. It is fine, but definitely NOT a MUST HAVE.d

I love this sheet!!! It really saved my butt when I spilled some alcohol ink on the table. Thankfully, it spilled on the craft sheet. It's very slick so you are able to use the ink blender the way Tim Holtz does (ie., bringing the ink onto the paper from the sheet). The slickness is great, but I wish that just one side was slick and not both sides because it tends to slide around on the table as you work. Aside from that, I really love it!

Easy to clean, you can apply paints right on the mat like a palette, and it just washes right off. Paper mâché? Cleans like a breeze. The only thing it can't do is withstand cutting. Ruined one by using my exacto knife in a hurry, and that took it's toll over time. Love this mat, keeps my worksite tidy, protects my work surface, and makes the creative process that much easier because you can use it as a part of the process.
I bought 2 of these, one for each work table, after the instruct of the 12 days of tags series. I expected something more substantial and thicker. It slides around on my work surfaces and is difficult to get all of the residue of crafting wiped off as the mat slides around and then gets creased when wiping. Overall, a great idea and decent size but not what works well for me and the size could be wider by about 6 inches to help me out. I think, perhaps, that a silicon baking mat would be cheaper, thicker, wider, and attain the same result.

I am in LOVE! This is truly a must have for any crafter! You know when you run that adhesive runner a little to far and go off the project onto your mat or table and you are stuck with that glob until you clean it off? I really hate that! With thus mat, you run the adhesive with your finger and in balls up so you can easily dispose of it!!!!! It does the same with a multitude of glues also! Any adhesive and any glue are no match for this mat!!! NO MORE GLUE OR ADHESIVE stuck on your mat to end up a black spot on another project! Also, ink and gelato cleans right up with just a swipe with a paper towel or napkin. Nothing sticks to this mat! If you don't have one of these, you NEED it! Seriously will make your crafting life easier! All you have to do is tack it down with your lamp and scoot it over to use your cutter. :)
A lot of crafters on YouTube use this mat, so I thought, since Scrapbook.com had it on sale, I would try it out.
The sheet is very thin and when I use it with the Tim Holtz round blending tool, it has a tendency to want to buckle. The ink does bead nicely on the mat making it easier to blend the ink and use less ink. The mat also cleans up easily.
Because of my limited workspace and the size of my projects, I ended up cutting the mat down to 10 by 15. The sheet cuts very easily so in my workspace I have to move it out of the way frequently and the smaller size means that I don't have to move so much of my project out of the way to put the sheet down.
I still often grab the clear plastic report cover to blend ink onto my project instead of this sheet it works just as well. I am mixed on the true usefulness of this product.
I had a problem with the way it was delivered. There was not anything in the packing to keep it from being crushed by the things inside. I live in Canada and maybe that has something to do with the damage to it too because it was tossed around a lot before it got to me. Well when I called scrapbook.com they were so wonderful and understanding about it. They offered to replace it or refund. I would order from them for sure in the future! I'll say here too for fellow Canadians it only cost me $5.99 for shipping on a order of $40 with no duty or tax and pretty quick shipping. So satisfied with this company!

Can the fuse tool be used on this craft mat?

This mat will likely not be the best surface for your Fuse Tool as it could be punctured or cut. Hope this helps!

Yes, I have found it on the Simon Says website but it is very pricey! They sell the Ranger custom order nonstick craft sheet by the foot. I don't recall if it's a 2 or 3 foot minimum (36 inches wide). For a 3x3 sheet it's $90, 5x3 is $150 but I guess you really only have to buy one and it lasts almost forever, so I'm told.

It is made of a slick, non-porous material that will withstand high temperatures. However, we have not tested it in the Cricut press so we cannot say whether it will work in this way.

Can you use the craft mat with alcohol ink? Will the alcohol ink damage the coating or stain the mat?

The Ranger Non-Stick Craft Sheet can be used with Alcohol inks and it will not damage/stain the surface. Most times damage occurs when the surface has been punctured or cut, so you should never use it to cut directly on or use abrasive cleaners.
