  • Similar to Peacock Feathers

Broken China came before Peacock Feathers but is has the same level brightness just a different shift of color. Broken China is blue blue, a darker shade of Tumbled Glass, and very cool. Its not a classic jewel tone but it fits within that family. Peacock Feathers is a bit more green therefore more teal. I know Peacock is trendy right now but Broken China is a better buy. Once everyone's tired of this sort of teal it'll be set aside and ignored. How many things in the natural world are that color? Not many. Broken China color is everywhere: water, sky, boy stuff, etc. Its such a calming, clean color, that we keep using it in our lives. The Distress line has a number of blues, I'd suggest Broken China for a cool color and something like Stormy Sky for a warmish darker one. But it all depends on what stamps you have and what other colors you want to blend with.

    Great color

Broken China is a great color. I debated between getting broken china and faded jeans or weathered wood. I was going to get faded jeans because it is more of a traditional blue color but I opted for broken china when I watched some Tim Holtz videos because I loved the way it looked with the other colors. Now that I have broken china I am not disappointed -- it's great.

    amazing ink

LOVE Tim Holtz distress ink!! I heard this color was a turquoise-ish color and immediately had to have it. It is the perfect turquoise color, and as with all of the distress inks, it is amazing! The quality is consistent, and the shipping was awesome. I was bummed to not find it in a local store, but got here quick enough.

    Broken Chine

I loved this color. It remindes me of a mix between a beautiful sky blue and a turquoise. It looks great with Scattered straw, Dusty Concord, and Shabby Shutters. I'm sure it will look good with other colors, too.

    Great ink

This ink is wonderful. The pad is nice for distressing b/c of its rough texture. This is the perfect color for distressing royal blue to navy blue paper.

    SUpER Color

Tim Holtz inks ROCK! ;) I love to sand & ink chipboard letters and I love how it will really seep into the sanded areas & you can still kinda wipe it off the shiny part leaving a two tone look :) great for inking edges too & not bad for regular stamping ;) love that the top comes compeletly off, rather than hinged like some pads :) and this color is actually brighter than it looks on the cover - which in my book IS a plus - gorgeous turquoise color
