This is a pastel version of spiced marmalade. You can with some work get a pastel version of this darker pumpkin orange, but it's nice to have it on hand and ready to use. If you are a pastel lover dried marigold is a great addition to the usual pink/sky/lavender crowd because it is a nice warm color without being a hard to use pastel yellow. Much to my surprise this is also a great base color for all sorts of brighter and grungier backgrounds. The warmth gives a hint of rust without being dark or harsh. I've built up a real metal rust-look using this pad as first layer. This is not a gotta have color for beginners unless you are a pastel lover, but it does have it's uses for all the rest of us.
I try to use all colors and I can honestly say this and a few others combined made my venture into yellow/red a pleasant one! I tried a few combinations Brushed Corduroy and Spiced Marmalade for a darker tone, Wild Honey and Antique Linen for something lighter. Great stuff! this makes the beginner look like they've been doing this for years!
Love this ink. It is the perfect recipe for watercoloring. I just put a little on my glass mat and spritz with some water. If you like to watercolor or are just learning how, this is the ink to use. I am a fan of two other companies’ inks, but I do not use them for watercoloring, only Distress Inks.
This inks are the best! They come in a lot of colors and they're perfect for inking paper. One of the things I love the best too is that if you use this ink on a rubber/clear stamp you get this really great aged look. i just LOVE these!!!

A very nice orange color. Very easy to work with. Blends well with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.
