I just got this today and LOVE it! It is now my fave tool! I've been playing with it on everything..cardstock, patterned paper, chipboard, cards, epoxy pieces, alphabet stickers, ghost shapes, photos, painted chipboard, just anything I could think of. It works. You can go lightly or hard. It's totally in your control and easy to use. It's comfy to hold, thick enough to grasp on to, yet thin enough that it's not awkward. This is a MUST HAVE distressed looks or edgy looks! Everyone should own this.

Love it! A gotta have tool if you love the distressed look! Tim showed us how to use it around the edges of photos ... really cool. When people see this technique on my pages, they always comment on how cool it looks. This is actually my 2nd one, so I can keep one in my crop bag, and one for my work station.
I M a TOOL Junkie.. This is the Neateset little TOOL.. I love to use it on my cardstock that has whtie in the middle It is perfect for making a card Look like snow..Perfect for Little snowmen to Play on. I got me the Piecer now too.. I love these products they make U feel like you know what you are doing..:O)
I haven't used this as a distresser. However, I use it as a paper piercer for brads, sewing templates, and any other type of hole. I was constantly poking myself with my paper piercer but since I got this, I haven't had a single problem since I can just throw it in my drawer.
ANOTHER GREAT IDEA HERE. LOVE TO USE THIS TOOL, TO SCRATCH PAPER, AND MAKE IT LOOK OLD, AND WORN.

I HAVE TRIED TO USE MANY THINGS TO MAKE SCRATCHES IN PAPER, BUT THIS IS THE NEATEST TOOL EVER. ANOTHER MUST FOR CRAFTERS.
I love that I can gripe it and ajust the amount of scratching point. Since Ihave a particle middle finger and my arm shakes at time this craft tool as the other tools that I purchsed from Tonic Studios are a stress reliver for me

I build dollhouse and this tool is so great for aging wood floors and walls.
I haven't had a chance to use the scratcher too much. When I have used it, it did a good job. I've used it in various ways, to catch itty bitty embellishments, to drag across T. Holtz's Crackle Paint, to scratch through acrylic paint when painting chipboard. I am anxious to really get to work on some grungeboard I have, but, to be honest, I haven't used it with the grungeboard. When I have used it, it worked really well. Since I haven't used it extensively, I chose to give it only 4 stars. It probably deserves 5 stars.
I believe I will find more uses for this tool as I think about it. It is made well and handles easily. It would be nice if there were suggested ideas to accompany the tool. I ordered it to distress photographs, but would like to use it more in card-making.
Nice product -easy to get great distress results-Only concern is to watch the quality of paper (papers can tear easily)
