Contents:

  • One black Hero Arts MISTI tool
  • Foam Pad
  • Grid Paper
  • One bar magnet

Measurements:

  • The MISTI measures 8" x 10" and has a stamping area that measures approximately 6.5” x 8.5”
  • Bar magnet measures 2.5" x 0.5"

Features:

  • Laser-etched clear plastic lid
  • Grid paper for precisely lining up your stamp
  • Can be used with clear or rubber cling stamps
  • Foam pad ensures excellent stamp impressions
  • Super strong magnet included

The Black Hero Arts MISTI is a tool you will treasure and enjoy for years to come. Use it for your personal scrapbook pages, cards and other paper crafting projects. It is also instrumental in completing stamping or heat embossing projects in an assembly line fashion. Each MISTI is laser etched, saw cut, and hand-assembled to stand the test of time.

How to Use Your MISTI Stamping Tool:

  • To set up your MISTI stamping tool for stamping, first, open the clear lid.
  • If you’re using clear stamps, start by placing the foam pad in the stamping area. (This step is not necessary if using rubber cling stamps.) Next, lay the paper grid in place in the MISTI’s stamping area.
  • Position your paper in the stamping area and carefully use your magnet to secure it in place. If using multiple magnets, be careful not to get the magnets too close to each other or they can attract together and pinch fingers, causing injury.
  • To begin stamping, position your clean stamp on your project in the location that you wish to make your impression with the cling side up. Close the lid of the MISTI and then open it again. The stamp should now be clinging to the MISTI’s stamping surface lid.
  • Ink your stamp and close the lid again. This step creates the stamped impression.
  • Open the lid, and before removing your stamp, be sure to check your image’s quality. If part of the image is missing or faded, ink the stamp again, and close and reopen the MISTI’s lid again.
  • This process can be repeated over and over until you are happy with the impression and color saturation of your stamp.
  • For layered stamping, repeat the MISTI process with each additional stamping layer until the image is complete.
  • When you’re finished stamping, clean the MISTI thoroughly with an approved cleaner and cleaning technique as described below.

Care Instructions for Your MISTI:

    • Wipe away accidental ink transfers right away (especially permanent inks.)
    • Do not allow ink to sit on the lid overnight. Clean after every use.
    • Gently wipe the lid. Do not scrub or scratch.
    • Use Novus 1 Plastic polish (sold separately) to keep your Mini MISTI looking its best.
    • Do not use solvent or oil-based products on your Mini MISTI. Staz-On cleaner, Ultra clean, solvent cleaners, Windex, Goo Gone, alcohol, or harsh chemicals may cause tiny cracks or crazing in the plastic.
    • NOTE: The included neodymium magnet is very brittle and very strong. Keep away from children. Handle the magnet with extreme care to avoid personal injury and damage to the magnet. If using more than one magnet, fingers can be severely pinched the two. Magnets can chip and/or break easily and magnets cannot be returned or exchanged

MISTI's simple hinge design provides consistent stamping for beginner, novice or experienced cardmaker and it makes stamping easier than ever before. You can use your Black MISTI with clear stamps and red rubber cling mount stamps, and a rainbow of inks to make unbelievable projects!

    Misti Stamping tool

    I love this.
    No more crooked stamping.
    No cardstock wasted.
You can stamp & if you have an area that is too light you simply re-ink the stamp & do it again. Always gives a clean crisp stamp.
I'm thinking I might make up a bunch of card fronts and when I need a card all I have to do is choose one & assemble the card & I'm good to go.
I'm sure you would be very happy with this product.

    The devil's in the details

I love the way the MISTI works. However, the pink rulers are stickers and they weren't precisely aligned on the tool I received. So, two of the stickers have portions hanging off the edge of the MISTI. I don't make cards with perfectly precise measurements so I decided to live with it rather than return it.

Consider purchasing when it is on sale.

    Great invention

This is the stamping tool I have been waiting for. You can position your stamps the way you like them and then stamp. If you miss inking part of the stamp you can redo it with out ruining your card. I think I will take more of my stamps off the wooden blocks so I can use them with the misti. This tool makes me want to stamp and stamp and stamp

    Misti Stamping Tool

This is a great item to have for cardmaking. With the recent passing of a loved one, I made over 50 thank you cards using the Misti Stamping Tool. It allows you to re-stamp over the same area if you did not press hard enough the first time. This happens to be one of my weaknesses when it comes to stamping. I love my Misti Stamping Tool! What a genius idea!

    Love this stamping tool!

I make 200+ cards a month for the charity Cards for Hospitalized Kids. This tool helps me to do multiple cards much quicker, and you can arrange multiple stamps together and stamp just once with the MISTI tool. Plus I love that it holds the cardstock in position so you can stamp a second time in the exact same place if you need to re-stamp it. That helps a lot with larger, foam mounted rubber stamps. Love it!

    Perfect Title

This product is true to its name - The "MISTI" - "Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented"
Easy to use and works great with Photopolymer and Clear(red) stamps.
I don't hesitate using some of my stamps anymore and enjoy making "stamped" cards without thinking twice. I know the words & image(s) will be perfectly inked and they will be right where I want them on my cards.
    😊
The only thing I would recommend is having extra magnets on hand.

    Thank You.

    Worth the price

At first glance the Misty looks to be pricy but after using it, it's worth every penny. The day before it arrived I was hand stamping a card and got it off centered as usual. With Misty I was able to place the stamp on the card, then open the top and make minor adjustments to make sure the phrase would print out straight and not crooked. Works great for the Type A personality crafters.

    Love My Misti!

I always had a problem die-cutting a design, then stamping on it. I could rarely get it straight! I teach card classes at a local retirement community and make multiples of card kits for these lovely ladies to put together. MISTI is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me during all my years of stamping! Now, I can make all my kits exactly alike! I love it and highly recommend it to any stamper. You will see what you have been missing!

    Shakes No Problem

As someone who suffers from intermittent moments with my hands shaking uncontrollably, rubber stamping was not always met with success. The MISTI helps work around this by making possible restamping images over & over again despite the shakes. Now I am enjoying the wonderful world of stamping again. Thank you for this product.

    Works most of the time

i was very excited when I bought this. I was expecting it to help me stamp a lot of christmas cards I was making. It works perfectly on the clear stamps. But a lot of the ones I have are grey from stampendous. Those don't stick to it at all. At least I have not found a way to make them stick. Kind of spoils all my plans.

Thinking about getting the MISTI tool for card making. Which is better, the Mini MISTI or the Original size. I am not interested in the 12 x 12. TIA   By: User (24-Oct-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

  • I would like to know what the difference is from the rose quartz and the original plastic with a pink boarder this is what I have, in the 6x8 size? Is it different material or are there different hinges?   By: carmalo (13-Jul-23) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

    • Actually, there are small differences. For starters: the new version has rounded edges, a tab on the lid that makes it easier to open the Misti, a slot near the hinged area which holds your bar magnet, and just feels more sturdy and well built to me 🤷🏼‍♀️that last one was my opinion btw but yea…there are slight differences JS By: Yahsaves317 (15-Aug-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Yours is probably the reddish one. There’s that one and a black one, now this one that a pink. From what I’m reading, it’s just color that’s different, nothing else new By: MoganMade (14-Jul-23) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • Does this Misti have the notched lid for easy lifting and the cut out to store the Misti magnet as well as the metal pins instead of plastic ones? The photo of the Misti shown doesn't look like it, but I see where people have said it is indeed the New Misti version. If not, I'll order it through lilliana.   By: sheri.ruemmele (05-Nov-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

I am interested in purchasing a NEW MISTI stamping platform. I see that the name at the top says NEW but in the details it says there is an original MISTIinside. Please verify that this is the newest version of the MISTI. I want to make sure this is the version with the metal hinges. Thank you!   By: User (22-Aug-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • The original size of the Misti was 6.5 “X “8…this is why it says “original” bc it’s the original size NOT the original stamping platform itself. By: Yahsaves317 (15-Aug-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • This is the new Misti and the size is called "Original". Hope this helps to explain :) By: Scrapbook.com (26-Aug-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

If I tried to use a 12x12 piece of paper in this would it crease the paper badly?   By: User (07-Apr-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
This question is about a related product.
    • I purchased the Memory MISTI to handle my 12x12 paper and I also have the Original MISTI. Yes your paper would get a crease depending how much pressure you use to stamp. Wait until there is a sale here. Scrapbook.com by far has the best price on the MISTI that I have seen. I love having both as for my scrapbook pages fit perfectly in the Memory MISTI, and the Original is good for all my card making. I may even get the small one for travel and A2 cards. Have fun. • Does this MISTI have embossed/molded rulers along the edges or are they just stickers? Also, it looks like the lid is etched with gridlines. Is that correct?   By: tmassey0316 (07-Jul-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • This is confusing because I read if it’s the Misti 2.0 it should have etched rulers along the side and not stickers. Can anyone clarify this? Thank you By: SBMom97 (14-Jan-22) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • The rulers along the sides and bottom are stickers. Yes the lid does have etched grid lines. I just recently purchased the larger one after having the mini and loving that. Have to say I am very happy with it. Purchased it because a number of my larger stamps do not fit in the mini. By: Aussiekez (08-Jul-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
