What is the thickness of this pad and can the paper grid pad still be used with this at the same time?

I just ordered mine the other day. I am waiting for it to get here. I do not own the Misti/Hero Arts one yet. However, I do own the original size MISTI. With the original MISTI, I use the mouse pad with one sheet of the grid paper(or any printer/copy paper cut to size) on top of the mouse pad when I stamp. You really do not have to use paper with the mouse pad as you can wipe it clean. The mouse pad is about 1/8" thick. Does this answer your question?
