This rich dark blue Royalty 12" x 12" single sided Glitter Cardstock is from Kaisercraft. New user of the Big Shot Plus Machine (just received it this week) and I love it! 
You can absolutely use glitter cardstock in your Big Shot Plus! Actually, you can use any kind of specialty papers, I've used cork, suede, felt - I've even cut metal with it! Dies up or down tend to be a preference and really make no difference in cutting. I like to use my dies with cutting side down - a lot of times I am cutting a stamped image, etc and cutting side down, I just feel I have more control. Play with it and see which way you like.
