Love, love, love this tool. It's so nice to not to carry my velcro stamp cleaner and spray to crops. This looks funny when it dries, but is a workhorse when wet. – kootenaykardmaker

No need for harsh chemicals, baby wipes that leave fuzzies or paper towels that tear! The Stamp Shammy is the perfect cleaning tool for all types of stamps and inks. – AZAmy

I've tried all types of stamp cleaners and this product does it so well, I'll never need anymore spray cleaner, or wipes. - Ktmertens

Try this shammy and you will never use another product to clean your stamp or other stamp items again. – stacey mae

How to Use the Stamp Shammy

Before using the Stamp Shammy with your rubber stamps or clear stamps, first soak the shammy in water (running it under a faucet is fine) until it is fully hydrated. The Stamp Shammy’s cloth will become soft and pliable when it is fully hydrated. The cloth may change color when hydrated; this is normal.

TIP: Make sure to squeeze the excess water out of the Stamp Shammy cloth before taking it to your work surface to avoid unintended water drips getting on a precious project!

Use the Stamp Shammy to clean stamps by stamping dirty stamps onto it until the stamp’s surface is clean. Or use the shammy to wipe the surface of the stamp, making sure to get into any crevices of the design.

The shammy cloth will get ink marks on it as you use it, but there’s no need to interrupt your stamping - just keep on working with it. The marks won’t transfer to other stamps. If the shammy gets too dry during a long stamping session, simply rehydrate it and keep working!

To clean up when you are done stamping, just rinse the Stamp Shammy well and lay it down to dry. (Some ink stains may remain on the shammy after rinsing, but this will not affect its ability to clean stamps.) Let it dry thoroughly before putting it away.

    Not worth it

I have been using a synthetic shammy to wash my stamps for at least 15 years. A regular full size shammy that I purchased at the hardware store. This stamp shammy is very small, and thin. I purchased it because it was on sale and I was curious if it was any different that the 10 times bigger shammy I've been using for years and paid only a few dollars. Well I couldn't believe how cheap and small this is. My recommendation : go to your nearest big hardware goods store and buy a synthetic shammy; cut it up into tiny similar sizes like this one and you'll have at least 20 shammy's for less than one of these.

Goodbye Cup Towel and Hello Stamp Shammy!!!!

For over a decade I have used a cup towel and stamp cleaner to clean my stamps, not the ideal way to get those stamps clean, but it worked. Occasionally I would also use baby wipes, not ideal either.
The minute I saw the Stamp Shammy from Lawn Fawn I said to myself "I MUST buy more than one of these bad boys!" I ordered my first one from Scrapbook.com and it's *A*mazing!
I use various types of inks and all of my stamps wipe clean using the Stamp Shammy, even Staz On ink (as long as you use Staz On cleaner) which I also purchased here at Scrapbook.com!
Now, I can't live without the Stamp Shammy and my cup towel and baby wipes are a thing of the past. I would highly recommend the this product, hands down!

SO EASY TO CLEAN STAMPS - NO LINT RESIDUE

I absolutely love this product. I was getting lint on my stamps which caused uneven inking and much nashing of teeth. The shammy cleans the ink off the stamps (red rubber and polymer) without transfering the ink to the next stamp. I just threw it in the washer after using it alot. The pigment ink stained the shammy but not problem...still does the job.

FABULOUS, best invention for cleaning stamps, EVER !!!

I own & have tried every stamp cleaner under the sun ! This is fabulous...it cleaned the discoloration on clear stamps that got stained months ago, it took a lot of rubbing on the old stained ones...and they did not totally come clear, but so close most would think they had never been used....and I had cleaned them right after use at time ! The stained ones only a few weeks old came totally clear !!! I use tiny stamps in my planner, use VersaMagic & Brilliance Inks with them. They are so tiny, with tiny groves...this cleans them GREAT ! Nothing else has totally cleaned my tiny clear stamps so well...let's face it, we spend a lot of money on our stamps...using this on my stamps after each use will keep them clear !!! Only negative, it should come with a " keeper " of some kind. I have mine in a Zip-Lock bag, always wet...so far. Do not know if that it best, but that is what I am doing. Best new thing this year !!!

    Almost as good as Chocolate

I love this Stamp Shammy from Lawn Fawn, it might be dirty and messy and nasty looking but you know what I clean with only one side so I always leave the clean side up. I love chocolate but this shammy is almost as good, my stamps are cleaner than ever and I need to do nothing but add water to bring it back to life. Golly Moses I love this shammy its so soft and perfect. Thank you Lawn Fawn for this invention.

    Lawn Fawn shammy

Watching the video and reading the reviews this sounded fantastic. I have used it several times now on several types of ink. It is great on straight dye ink. I used it on pigment ink and really had to rub hard. It is hard to get the base of the stamp clean. I will still need to use my tooth brush. I will still need to keep stazon on hand for my permanent inks. I am thinking with time and practice I will get better at using this product. I don't think it is the miracle cloth it has been protruded to be. So buy it but know you will have to rub and rub to clean your stamp.

  • Great for Cleaning Stamps!

The Stamp Shammy is great for cleaning off your stamps! Just put the shammy in water to moisten it, squeeze out the excess water, and have it handy for cleaning ink off your stamp(s). You do not need any special cleaning liquid, and because there is no brush, it does not leave inky foam in the recessed areas of the stamp. Just make sure that you get it ready to use before you start your stamping, so that you will have it handy right when you need it. (Otherwise, if you're like me, you will let the stamps sit until you are ready to get up to moisten the shammy, and you may get interrupted and leave them for very long time.)
Just so you know, the shammy does get all inky, and will not come very clean, but it never transfers the ink to another stamp. It just doesn't look pretty.

    Amazing Product

I am seriously amazed at how wonderfully this "shammy" works! All you have to do when you start stamping is wet the cloth, squeeze out excess water, and use, over and over again. It cleans the stamp beautifully the first time, doesn't smear use after use throughout the day, and drys quickly when done. I also use it to wipe off my fingers and acrylic blocks of extra ink...again, no smearing. One must keep in mind that it's going to get stained, which can't be washed out, but the staining doesn't in any way hinder the cleaning power of the shammy. It's awesome and I only wish I had found it sooner!

  • Must have!

I absolutely love this! I keep mine in a coffee mug so plenty of air gets to it as it dries. It cleans stamps so well and in my opinion is a real necessity for clear stamps since some cleaning solutions can be harmful to them. My favorite thing about this is that I can very quickly clean not only the stamp, but the clear block or the lid of a platform positioner like the Misti. Invariably I end up with ink on those as well. Just a wipe or two and everything is clean! I do stamp off before cleaning, but even though there will be ink on the shammy, I've had no issues at all with the ink transferring. This is a great product!

    Best. Product. Ever.

I don’t care what the negative-minded reviewer said about a whammy is a sham My is a sham my... it’s NOT! This is the perfect thickness, consistency, and yes, it is a pretty Lawn Fawn teal blue colour. One wipe and your rubber or clear stamp is as good as new. I keep mine in a salt cellar and it stays nice and Supple; ready to use whenever I need. Awesome product!!!

    • Lawn Fawn states the following, "Care instructions: The shammy will dry out between uses, as well as get “inky” over time. Don’t worry! Just add water to thoroughly re-hydrate the cloth, and it will continue to clean your stamps again and again, even if stained." By: Scrapbook.com (13-May-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Will the stamp shammy clean stamps that have been used for embossing - the Versamark ink leaves a sticky residue on both stamps and my stamp positioner (My Sweet Petunia) and I cannot get it cleaned off either, If the shammy won't remove Versamark ink from the stamp positioner it won't even be worth the sale price to me because I do a lot of stamping and embossing,   By: barefootgal1648 (17-Nov-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Is it possible to clean the actual shammy? And if not, how often should it be replaced? Thanks!   By: User (05-Nov-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I got fed up seeing my shammy so black so I decided to try hand scrubbing with comet cleanser and it did pull up quite a bit of the black. So though it doesn't look brand new it is almost and feel like I am getting new life back and can enjoy the pretty teal color again. Jennifer McGuire suggests stamping off on scrap paper after stamping to reduce the amount of ink you need to clean but I find it still makes the cloth black because it cleans it so well. Don't know if scrubbing with cleanser will affect the life of the shammy but so far so good. This is something I never read anyone doing but with the pretty case and the teal cloth I feel so much happier to use them now that I have a way to renew my cloth.By the way comet cleanser alo can clean your fingers and the outside of your case and most surfaces- counter, sink.

    • I have had my stamp shammy for about six months. I use it a lot and although it has a lot of color on it , it still works fine. It does not leave any color on my project if I clean the stamp and then stamp it on the page again. I just rewet it with warm water each time I use it. • I have been crazy busy since I got my shammy this week, so unfortunately haven't had a chance to use it yet. It's frustrating what little detail companies often give about their products! I was curious about StāzOn and Versamark inks, and have only found 1 person (via googling like mad) who mentioned cleaning StāzOn ink off with it, and she said it works great. Keep in mind, this was just a consumer. I will post again when I try it myself, but thought I'd let you know what I'd found so far. By: sistermadly1 (04-Mar-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
