I never had much luck with embossing until I tried Lindy's powders. These are amazing, and they melt like butter! The bottles are kind of small, but the quality is so good I really don't mind. This one is described as black with a sheen of metallic copper - to me it's a deep dark copper, really beautiful.
Used in this project: Bear, Yellowstone, 2008
This embossing powder is shiny, but I wouldn't consider it a fine-grain embossing powder.
It left an awful brown reside on my pages when excess embossing powder was removed. Some reside stayed even my page even after attempting to wipe it off.
I wouldn't purchase this product again.
This is the first time I've used this product and I love the different effect it gives, almost like an antiquing. I've have not had the chance to use it a lot yet but I'm sure I will be as the color is unique. I'm a card maker and can see using this on silhouette-type & starry night type cards. It also would pair well with Jim Holtz products or Old World/Victorian creations.
This is a gorgeous powder. Hard to describe. Opaque shiny
reddish-brown/gold copper color enamel with a film of the finest coppery glitter through-out. Very rich. I found it did better heating beneath my paper as the powder is fine & can scatter easily.
I haven't used yet ...love the color....can't wait
