I love the slice and the different options of the Making Memories Cards. I can keep several cards in a small holder, which can be easily go along with the machine.
The machine cuts fast and is surprisingly quiet. My son was asleep close by while I had items to cut out and he didn't wake up despite being a light sleeper.
The weight and portability is a plus if you go to crops often or if you have a very small scrapbooking space like I do.
The machine is so easy to use, adorable, portable, and lightweight. If you are looking for an electronic cutting machine that is all of things, then you can't find a better product than the Slice!!
Used in this project: Train Invitations
Because it's a very small and practical machine!! I'm starting now on this amazing world of scrapbooking and I have no dificulties on creating beautiful scrapbook pages using my new slice...
Also you can cut all the sort of symbols, drawings, letter, inthesize you need (between 1 and 4 inches)!!!
I live in Brazil and I didn't have problem with the electricity plug...
First time I used the machine it operated sooo smoothly and it was sooo easy to use. The display was one of its best features.
I also own a cricut; however sometimes with the cricut it skips the pattern and it doesnt leave such a smooth cut, and there is no display so you guessing what its going to look like. I should have purchased this machine long before now.
I weighed the options of getting a Slice versus a Cricut, and the Slice completely fits my needs -- smaller and portable with the ability to make up to 4 inch letters.
I was, indeed, so excited to get a Slice and I got a great deal on mine.
The excitement was short-lived. I have had problems with the Slice cutting through cardstock (a normal operating condition as far as I am concerned) and I have sent the machine to MM. They "fixed" it and sent it back, but it still does not cut well. I am disappointed with the quality of the product and if I has paid the full price ($175), I would be very unhappy.
I mostly use the Slice for things for my kids.
I have had two Slice Machines and both worked for about a month. I was able to get 50-75 shapes before they stopped. Both machines experienced different problems. I bought the second because I thought it was just a fluke that the first one stopped working. I really liked the machine, but that's a lot of money to pay for 50 cut out shapes.
