Wish I had tried this out sooner. It is comparable in price to my previous "favorite" runner adhesive, but the best part is that it is refillable ad has a very simple attached protector for when you aren't using it.
Now that I know how good it is, I will probably order in quantity next time.
Whenever I see the name Tombow, I know I am going to purchase an item that will not disappoint. I just started using the Tombo Mono Adhesive Dispenser and I am in love. I have used several different kinds but this one glides over the project with ease. I am very pleased with this product!
This has become my favorite scrapbook and card adhesive. It is easy to work with, transfers to the item to be glued easily, and does not adhere so quickly that you can't reposition it if needed. It is permanent after a few minutes which is exactly what I want when I finish a project.
Oh how I love my tombow! I had never used one until last week when I went to a class at Archivers and they had us use one for the project.
Previously I always used photo squares. What a mess! Do you know how hard it is to get those little scrap tabs off the carpet? Almost impossible!
With the tombow, you have no icky tabs to contend with.
I've used other tape runners before and been really disappointed with them getting stuck. I bought my tombow today and have been using it A LOT, with no trouble.
The best part of this adhesive? The little cap that flips down so that nothing in your scrap stash gets stuck (and ruined!) to the adhesive!
If you're looking for an adhesive, this is THE one to buy!
Used in this layout: Girls Night Out/Baby Shower
This is my favorite adhesive to use by far. I am constantly reaching for it for everything I do; sometimes even not scrapping related, lol! It is soooo easy to load, unlike others that you have to work at getting reloaded. It is a snap and that's it! It holds with a super strong bond and is well worth the money for the refills. You get what you pay for and let me tell you this is the number one adhesive that my $$$ will go for! Also, it does not gum up the way that others do as well. Plus, it has a neat little cover so that nothing gets stuck to the end of your adhesive lines and so that it cannot get rolled out accidentally in the hands of the little creatures that we all know and love!
This was the first adhesive recommended to me at my LSS, and after all these years scrapping, is still the one I reach for time and time again. I use the Tombo Mono on just about everything -- photos, paper, chipboard, ribbon, fabric...
I love the fact that unlike many other adhesive runners, it is refillable, and the refills seem to hold a lot more adhesive than some of the similar off-brands at discount stores. And unlike many other runners, this adhesive goes where you want it to and doesn't leave gaps.
While I still keep glue dots and Xyron refills for specialized needs, the Tombo Mono is the one I reach for most often. This is THE scrapbook adhesive.
I love my TOMBOW! When I starting scrappin' almost 4 years ago, I was told to use photo squares for everything! SO I did and it took forever to get anything gled down. I discovered TOMBOW through a friend, and the rest is history! Tombow is so easy to use and I never have a problem with my photos or anything not adhering to the layout. The dispensers are easy to refill, just snap one in and you're ready to go! It's definitely the best adhesive out there and I never am at a crop with out my TOMBOW!!
I am absolutely in love with Tombow!! I never have a problem with the tape breaking or rolling on to itself. I have used my tombow Dispenser for almost 3 years and it shows no signs of wear. The refills are easy to use and last a long time! It is by far the best quality for the price!!! I don't ever leave home with out it!
I just got this and am very disappointed. It is hard to get it to grab, so I end up dragging the dispenser over the photo several times and have to use my finger to advance the adhesive a bit. Also, when I try to lift it off, many times it will pull a string of adhesive off the dispenser instead of breaking off evenly.
I have been using 3L tape runners and will definitely go back to them.
