So I have a Cricut baby bug already and love to use that for diecuts. I kept reading rave reviews about the Cuttlebug and wondered if I needed it... the answer is YES!!! I use my Cuttebug for embossing - cardstock and envelopes for cards, even diecut letters. The possibilities are endless! You get everything you need when your order a Cuttlebug. Just add a few of the embossing folders (Swiss Dots and Dvine Swirls are my two favorites, but I'd love to own them all!) and you're ready to go. Very easy to use and comes with a user's manual that shows even shows you how to use dies and folders from other brands like Sizzix! Definitely a must have whether you're a scrapbooker or a cardmaker!

I originally wanted a Revolution but found a great deal on a Cuttlebug and after a little research I purchased the Cuttlebug. I can use any die I've come across in this little machine. The plates take on a lot of use and I've not had to replace them yet. It is very portable, the handle is nice to have on top. The "suction" feet make it grip your surface and assist in the cutting process.
When I came across a great deal on a Revolution about a year later, I finally got my long desired sleek black tool with its pretty carry case. Wow! I was so excited. Guess what...I use it for 4x8 dies but do everything else on my Cuttlebug.
Just can't get enough of that little green machine.

I have had the Cricut for about a year. I like it because I don't have to buy/store lots of dies. But when I tried dry embossing on some of my Christmas cards this year, I gave up quickly because it was just too labor intensive. But I love the way the dry embossing looks. So I checked around and decided to get the Cuttlebug. I LOVE IT! I still don't plan on using it for cutting dies too much, but the embossing folders are wonderful! The images are so crisp and perfect, and it's SO easy to use. Not to mention, quiet and I don't have to worry about taking up another outlet. I recommend it to anyone who wants to do any dry embossing.

I've had my Cuttlebug for about 1 1/2 years and I still love it. It's easy to use and the variety of embossing folders and diecuts is great. I use mine for both scrapbook pages and cards and I love the versatility. It adds so much and only takes a minute. I especially love my alpha diecuts because I can always cut whatever letters I need and never run out! Both of my granddaughters' names have "y" and "a" in it and when I buy sheets of alphas, I often run out of those letters--but never when I use my Cuttlebug. The cuttlebug is WAY cheaper than an electronic diecutter and it can use diecuts from most other diecut machines. It's a great investment for any papercrafter!

Finally, a machine that takes the labor intensity out of dry embossing! If you love the look of dry embossed details but hated dragging out your light box and going through the process of using a stylus to emboss each little detail of your stencil - the Cuttlebug is just the machine you need. It does a beautiful job whether you use the embossing materials made specifically for it or whether you use Sizzix, Fiskars texture plates or metal dies. A big plus is the fact that you can emboss on dark paper/cardstock with no problem, which was very difficult to do with a light box as you could not always see your stencil through the dark color. I held off a long time buying a "machine" as I thought it would be something I never used after I got it. Not so - this is an absolute must have - and it does die cuts, too!
I LOVE THIS LITTLE MACHINE! Even my grandkids can use it! (I need to get the little Cuttlebug Jr so that I can have mine back!) LOL
This machine comes in so handy when making cards. I've used it so many times and with so many different embossing cards, you can do just about anything! I have the hand embossing sheets that you have to rub and this is just so much easier! The die cuts are cool too! Great for the smaller cuts when I don't want to drag out the Cricut!
My girlfriend just came over last night to scrap and I talked her into buying one too! She was very impressed.
GO GET IT! YOU'LL LOVE IT TOO! (HINT: I bought mine using a 50% coupon from JoAnns)
This little machine is packed with ability. It cuts paper, card stock, cardboard, thin metal, etc. It does a wonderful job on dry embossing with lots of folders to choose from. One of my favorite things is cutting my own chipboard letters and shapes. With my job a have an endless supply of thin cardboard ( about the thickness they use for shoe boxes). I use the cuttlebug to cut my own chipboard letters and shapes. It does a great job with nice clean cuts. By doing this it saves me a lot of money that I can spend on other scrap booking supplies. I would recommend this machine to anyone who is serious about scrap booking or card making.
I just got this machine a few weeks ago, and I have been loving it so far! I wouldn't call myself an expert at papercrafting, but the Cuttlebug definitely helps me feel like one! :) It's great for adding dimension to any project. And the fact that I not longer have to cut out my own dies by hand is awesome! It's great that you can use other brands of dies with it too. I haven't tried any Sizzix ones yet, but that will be my next adventure! If you're looking for a great way to emboss and cut dies, but don't have a lot of money, this machine will be great for you! It was even better cause I got it with a 40% off coupon at Michaels ;)

I LOVE the Cuttlebug. It's very affordable & can easily cut all the dies on the market from the thinnest Nestabilities to the largest Ellision dies with ease. I've had mine since it hit the market & use it all the time. The only replacement mat I've purchased is the B mat. The first one is bowed a bit but I still use it for running the dies thru -- I use the newer one for the embossing folders.
The embossing folders are my favorite product to run thru. They add texture & that WOW factor to any card/layout.
I've used the Sizzix & Revolution but I think you get way more bang for your buck with the Cuttlebug
