I have been pleased with this trimmer. I trust the Fiskars brand and have not been disappointed. The blade is very easy to change. I also like that I can cut several pieces of paper at once. It took a little practice to get the hang of the pressure needed for good cuts. The arm holds the paper in position better than smaller cutters. I like this trimmer!

I bought this because of Friskars reputation for quality cutting instruments.
The cutter has been nice but I was disappointed in that the corner storage covers came off and broke so easily. The cutter is very light considering its size. It might have been the one I got from Michael's but I have had to run my blade over cardstock a few times to cut when it was new.
It does well with larger pieces of paper but not thin smaller pieces such as cleaning up an edge that was was not cut straight..
I do like that the black strip in the base under the blade can be taken out and flipped over on 4 different sides. It doesn't wear out as quickly. The arm also clamps down pretty tightly so there is no movement of the paper. I also like the safety of having to push the blade down to cut.
All in all it has served me well for scrapbooking. I think I may have had higher expectations because of growing up with their high quality sewing scissors.
My DIL calls this the Monster because it is large and takes up alot of space. It is light weight but it is my stay at home everyday trimmer. I bought it because it has blades that you can change to shape your pp edge into scallops, wave, deckle etc. This part I really love about the trimmer.
I have owned it for 2 years and the blades last a long time and cut rather effortless with good clean edges. What I don't like is my cuts always seem to be a little crooked. It is so minor but I can see THAT 1/4 OF AN INCH.
The only other pp cutter I have is a cheap small one that I take to crops. Yet, I don't know if I would recommend this one due to the uneven cut and the expense of the product. I don't have any experience with any other brands so I can't compare.

I have found that the paper moves whilst cutting and I usually have to trim again.
I am however going to keep this trimmer because I like the different shaped edges the various blades offer.
The apparatus itself is quite large and not really suited to a small work area.
Would also be much better if I could exactly see where I'm cutting.
