  • It's good stuff!

I disagree! I love it. With all due respect, you guys are using it wrong. It's not meant to be used on cardstock or anything porous. While you can, you'll often be disappointed with the results.

It's meant for non-porous surfaces like gloosy cardstock or acrylic, metal, or even glossy chipboard. I used it on glass and just loved it.

When you use it on cardstock, it just sucks up the ink and fades into the background.

It's also a solvent ink and not a dye ink. This means you need a special stamp cleaner just as you would with any solvent ink. All of the StazOn inks are solvent inks. Dye ink washes up with soap and water.

Solvent ink is also harmful to some surfaces, i.e. the wood table that it ate through which is a bummer for sure.

    only white ink that works

The Stazon opaque ink is the only white ink I've found that actually works. Although I wish it was even more vibrant, it shows up best on really dark paper and can even be more enhanced with embossing powder over top. It's a very moist ink and a great value that the refill comes with it. You need a lot of ink to coat the stamp because of the opaqueness so its very convenient to have the refill ready to go. Make sure you read the instructions to moisten the pad correctly. Try it and you'll enjoy using white ink for a change!

  • one of my worst buys

My ink pad did not come inked. I stamped with it on black paper first and was soooo disappointed! You could see the image, but not well. It certainly wasn't what I was expecting for the price. This product is not well suited for paper but for non-porous surfaces. Buy the Brilliance Moonlight White (same manufacturer) if you want white ink that will show up on paper. I stamped the same image side by side using both inks and there was a HUGE difference. The Brilliance shows up well even on yellow cardstock whereas the Staz On did not show up at all on the yellow. Not worth the money in my opinion.

  • Staz On Opaque - Cotton White

This product is worth a 5-star rating when used on transparency sheets which are then overlald on darker cardstock. Images can also be stamped on transparencies and punched or die-cut. Not great for finely detailed images. I use Staz On All Purpose cleaner and have found that stamps should be cleaned immediately, if not sooner. I'm hooked, now that I've discovered how to use this with transparancy sheets.

    Great white ink

I loved this white ink pad. I think it works great. It is white ink afterall and no white ink is going to be totally opaque on dark colored paper. It worked as well as I thought it would.

    Not Impressed

I don't know if it was just mine, or if they're all this way, but it didn't come pre-inked. I've used it twice & had to use the refresher ink both times. For the price, it just doesn't seem worth it to me. Also, I still haven't found a great way to clean my stamps after using this.

    I'm disapointed

I bought this product based on the review above. First of all the ink pad did not come pre-inked. I followed the directions that came with the ink pad and excitedly began stamping. I could barely see the stamp. I thought I must not have put enough ink on it, so I applied more. Still the ink barely showed. I tried 3 different types of paper and you have to look really hard to see the ink. I wonder if the reviewer was using a Non-Opaque ink, but wrote this review for the opaque ink mistakenly. Anyway, I'm really disappointed with this product and would not recommend it.

  • Dries Quick!

This product dries really quick...so work fast!! I usually it with the Pearl X Powders and it makes them show up wonderfully on just about all of my different papers!

  • Doesn't live up to the hype

Ok, maybe I got a bad batch, but I talked to a few others and they have the same issue. This ink pad dries out way too quickly. I inked it up, expecting to get a lot of use out of it (as I have with other ink pads). Nope. Even when I stored it upside down to keep the ink at the top, it was all dried up when I next went to use it (which was not long after the initial inking). So I inked it up again. Same problem happened again.

To top it off, when stamping with it, I don't get a ton of detail. The ink is thicker than your traditional ink pad and therefore, causes the loss of some of the more fine details in certain stamps.

I don't like mine at all. It definitely did not live up to the hype and costs WAY too much.

  • Great Ink Pad!

This ink pad is made by StazOn, so of course I did not doubt it's quality. However, I was cautious in believing that it would show up. But, let me tell you. It shows! It may seem like a lot to spend on "just an inkpad" but just so you know. It DOES come already wet so it is like getting a full ready to go ink pad and a reinker in one. If you look at it that way, it is a great buy! I love mine and would not want to be without it. I have yet to reink mine and I have had it for about 5 months now. It lasts and lasts!! I would definately recommend that anyone who has thought about buying it go ahead and do it! It is well worth it!
