These stamps are super. I use them in conjunction with the Sizzix Thinllits die that perfectly matches the one stamp. These stamps are great for backgrounds. The five individual tree stamps work well to fill in gaps. I use different shades of green ink to get realistic effects of a forest. These stamps work well with Tim's stamping platform. They take on ink with ease (regardless of brand or kind), give a clear, sharp image every time, and clean up with no problem. You can't go wrong with these stamps.
I bought these stamps believing they would pair up with the Tree Line die by Tim Holtz. These stamps do not. I was quite disappointed but by playing with these and with the die, I found I could make some impressive borders by mixing dies and stamps with different shades of green, a little snow, etc.
The stamps are nice and thick so be sure you have the right stamp platform (Tonic or Misti). The impressions are spectacular. I don't think I've ever seen a low-quality Holtz stamp so while I couldn't use these as I had planned, the end result was more than satisfactory.
This quality stamp set is a MUST for every crafter's stash! From single Christmas tree outline, to forest, to Alpine slope, even a Spooky backdrop for Halloween these outline stamps can be used for every occasion and then some! Love Tim's style.

What size are these stamps and how many are in the set?
There are 7 stamps. 2 are borders, and are 5 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. the 5 single trees range from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches. Hope this helps
