With all the new paint-on inks, my workmat was getting really dirty, and scrap paper only goes so far- this handy way to keep ink useful is great. You can put just a touch of many different inks and then close the lid after use to reuse later. They eventually dry out, of course, but the inkwells are just large enough to accommodate a few splotches of the inks you will need at one time so you can keep the original jars closed.
I love this palette storage that I can take with me on a trip. Tim has made it for the wonderful Alcohol inks (I watched his tutorial on storing them, letting them dry and re-wetting them in future) and Pearl Pearls which are easy to reconstitute as well as inks. I bought one for each type of product.
This is a handy tool to have. I wish there was a easier way to label the colors.
I had wanted a palette with a cover for my crayons, watercolors, and watercolor pencils! Now I can sharpen my woodless watercolor pencils and save the shavings in this palette! Quality product!
I got this Distress Palette from a scrapbook/craft friend who wasn't using it. I figure it's a good tool to have to use not only for Tim Holtz distress re inkers. But also you can use it for water color or even your paints too. I haven't use mines yet but will get use of it when I do.
I bought this for my distress ink refills to build a watercolor palette as it's intended to be used and I love it! I'll be considering it for my tube watercolors in the future as well. I swatched my colors and taped them to the inside of the lid as Tim suggests and love using it!!
What a great tool to have in one's 'arsenal'....there is no waste of product.
I thougth I was a geart Product .
