I love the Tim Holtz stains, and they are easy to apply and blend nicely by spritzing with water. However, make sure you and the surrounding area are protected, as the spraying can really shoot out some distance. I found out the hard way, and then built a cardboard box shelter to use it in. I also recommend wearing rubber gloves if you don't want to look like a car mechanic for the next week!
Very fast shipping. When the package arrived, the distress spray stain had leaked considerably inside the plastic bag (fortunately) and customer service responded immediately and had another replacement out to me again really quickly!
Nice spray to give those Halloween cards a yummy spooky darkness. Black is always a good addition to bring out other colors. I really like the sprays.
I have been very happy with this for splashes on my background.

Can this spray stain be used to paint the back of the new Tim Holtz shifter stencils? It is recommended to paint the raised areas on the back of the stencil for easier placement. Thanking you in advance for your prompt response.

This would likely not be the best choice for that purpose as it is not permanent ink and would not stay on the stencil. Hope this helps!
