The Non-Stick Micro Serrated Scissors by Tim Holtz and Tonic Studios have all-purpose blades that won't get gummed up when cutting adhesives. They are rust- and corrosion-resistant. The micro-serrated edge works great when you want to cut fine details. These scissors slice through all types of material with ease, whether you're cutting sheet rubber, adhesive-backed papers or vinyl. The brightly-colored Kushgrip handles are extra large, making it easy for right- or left-handers to use, and reducing hand fatigue. When you're done cutting, cap your scissors off with the included plastic protective cover for safe storage and keep your blade sharp. These scissors were used at the Creative Escape 2008.
My Tim Holtz Non-Stick Micro Serrated Scissors are 2.5 years old and I have NEVER had to have them sharpened and they are nearly as sharp as the day I got them! I adore the versatility of these scissors--they can handle tough paper, even chipboard/grungeboard with ease, but also have a small tip and the sharpness to be used for detailed cutting. Also, these scissors are great it you tend to be accident prone (like I am) they do not easily cut your skin like some more "knife-like" scissors. (All scissors are incredibly sharp and should be used with caution, especially around children. These are NOT child-proof scissors and may not be suitable for children.) BUY these scissors, it is worth the $12 investment--I have not replaced them in 2.5 years and unless I lose them (which I am also prone to doing) I do not anticipate having to replace them anytime soon!
Is it wrong to say that I am in love with a pair of scissors? Well, wrong or not, I just can't help myself. These are the very best scissors I've ever used for paper crafting. The serrated edge makes all the difference. The cushion grips really do keep your hand from tiring so easily. I've had covers for my scissors before but this one actually "snaps" into place and doesn't slide off. I'm thrilled to own these and honestly don't know if I will ever use anything else for my detail work now that I've experienced these fantastic scissors. Thank you Tim Holtz!
I've purchased more scissors than I care to admit, but I'm happy to share that I've found the cream of the crop with these Tim Holtz all-purpose babies.
Four things I LOVE about them:
1) The blades don't get gummed up when cutting adhesives
2) The blades have fine-tipped points for precision cutting
3) The blades were able to cut through the ends of brad prongs (I'd be careful using them with thicker metal and I'm not going to try just for this review...sorry:)
4) The colored handles are visible on the most cluttered of surfaces.
It only took me a few tries to get adjusted to the large handles (that's what makes them great for right or left-handers).
Thanks Tim, these are GREAT scissors!

I own two pairs of these, one in my tote and one in my at-home tools. They're SO good, I want to make sure I have a backup pair!! The handle is comfortable. The non-stick coating on the blades is quite good. The serrated edge is sharp and has cut through everything I've asked of it. My first pair is over a year old and shows no wear and no warping. The only reason I own any other pair of scissors is that the serrated edge is no good for detail cutting on paper.
These scissors are so good that I had to order a pair for my husband!! He needed non-stick scissors and LOVES these.
I didn't think I even needed a new pair of scissors as I've collected stationery for about 20 years and have millions, but I watched a video on scrapbook.com and decided to get them to see what the fuss was about and I am not disappointed. These cut through everything you can think of, I use them them for everything (probably a no-no but whatever :P). They cut through brads nicely too when the ends are too long and stick out (when near the edge of tiny embellishments) which I love. So glad I got these. They're a dream to use.
