I had a small problem with my first tin of these pencils - it was missing a color because it had a duplicate of another. Unfortunately, due to demand, I had to buy it elsewhere to replace it. Other than that, they disperse nicely in water. Between this set and the Julie Nutting Hair and Skin Tones set, you have a nice range of neutral tones that can be used for drawing portraits.
I have all 6 sets & love them all! The colors are great & cover a large spectrum of colors- They also blend really well! Only downside is that there are a few duplicate pencils throughout the 6 sets, so you may not need all the sets-BUT the duplicate pencils I found are mostly neutral colors & I personally use those a lot, so I don't mind having extras of certain colors/pencils.
This is a great palette of soft neutral colors. It's so handy to have a perfect collection of colors for blending skin tones. They are also great for softly colored flowers and nature, and coordinate well with the Prima Vintage palette of colors. Very pleased with this set.
I just bought a Sizzix and am creating some beautiful die cuts from cream and blush papers for a wedding album and presentation box by Kathy Orta King. These pencils add the perfect delicate watercolor touches.
