Is this die compatible with sizzix big shot machines? I recently bought this die, and I can't get it to cut through anything with my sizzix - not even thin paper using shim pieces. It cuts around the edges, but not in the middle.   By: User (25-Jan-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Yes it is compatible with the big shot. It seems to me that not all big shot machines have the same pressure. I have a powder blue and teal big shot and with this machine, I use 2 shims of cheap Georgia Pacific cardstock from walmart to get the die to cut #80lb Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. With my newer machine, a big shot plus, I don't need any shims but run it through twice. I've heard that there is more pressure toward the sides of the big shots. Maybe it would help to run it through the machine close to the side a few times and then carefully turn the cardstock and die around so that the part of the die that was in the center is on the side, and run it back through a couple times. I hope this helps... By: jereclemens (26-Jan-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Yes, it is! All machines are slightly different, so try adding a shim, or using Sizzix's precision cutting base for thin dies. Works like a charm! By: Sharon Laakkonen (27-Jan-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
