This is my first mold and I love it. I used paper clay. The clay comes out easier if you powder the mold and let it sit over night then remove the clay. I have polymer clay tools and these clean up the edges like magic. I used a DreamWorks stencil brush and oxide distress ink to color the keyhole and then Nuvo mother of pearl mouse. This mold is very detailed and will take some practice. What fun these will be. I was pleasantly surprised at the mold quality. Top notch! Love it love it love it.
The Prima Key Hole IOD mould is awesome. I’ll be using hot glue and air dry paper clay in it. Now I need. A Key Mould Can’t wait to do mix media and so many crafting designs I’m ordering more ; one or two at a time until I have them all.

I�m restoring a very old wood trunk . It used to have a fairly large keyhole on the front . I can�t tell from the damage to the wood. 
These key moulds would be too small for what you need. So sorry!

Is it safe to use resin in this type of mold? Has anyone done it?

Funny you ask that question because I did it for the first time two days ago! I used the Art Resin brand that dries clear. I was scared I had messed up because it was tacky for so long. At around 16 hours of the resin being in the mold i finally stuck my fingernail in to pop it out and it fully released! No one could have been happier than i was when the resin released perfectly from the mold! It was still pliable but made a full impression. It didnt really fully harden until today. Mine didnt dry fully clear because I didnt try to pop the bubbles but I'm painting them anyway so it doesn't matter. The best advice I can give you is read the instructions and follow them completely. I hope you try it!
