The silicone end allows for laying down design marks without worrying you're damaging your plate. I haven't used the brush end much but I've used all of the silicone ends repeatedly and really like the effects.
I have been gathering all sorts of "tools" together to do background texture on the project substrate for classes I am teaching and then found these...Perfect, I like the size of them also.
