Am very pleased with the new Simon Hurley Stellar Inks! Not only are they imaginatively named, 'Black Widow', but the quality is fantastic! This black is very dark (think a moonless winter night--that's dark!) and stamps crisply. It also doesn't fade either. I've already used it on several cards with no smudging--even when I use my alcohol pens! Finally, a black ink I can be confident in using on my cards. Thank you Simon!

I recently purchased this Simon Hurley Stellar Black Widow ink pad and everything that was said is true. I tested this with my alcohol markers and got amazing results. This ink is really black. I also bought the entire ink pad bundle and the reinkers. All of the inks are just beautiful. I have various brands of inks and I must say...Simon Hurley and Ranger did it again! This is a great product and I highly recommend these brand if you are an avid card maker.

I saw Simon demoing these inks and I’m always adding to my inks so thought I’d give the black and brown a try. Awesome! So far I have stenciled and stamped. The true test came with use on acrylic stamps. I always use my stamp platform as I find on acrylic stamps the ink doesn’t cover well. Not true with these! One stamp and it’s covered. I will be ordering all the colors!!!

Ok, you know when you get a black ink and it either turns out grey or blue. That could not be futher from what you get here! You get a black, black and all you do is bearly tap the pad and you get all the ink you need! I will be buying this for as long as they make it, I am so very happy with this product.

I badly needed a black dye ink - I've tried at least 4 other ones and either they were too faint (i.e., looked more like grey), or they smeared anyway when I colored with my alcohol markers. I resigned myself to either heat embossing all the 100 Christmas cards before coloring, or using a faint/grayish ink and calling it a "design choice". Stellar Ink in Black Widow lives up to its hype. It's crisp black (as good as my Tsukineko Versafine Claire!) and dries so fast. I forgot to wait and started coloring with my alcohol markers right away and - no smearing - even when coloring an animal face (you know, with the features just line drawings)! Just a LIGHT tap of your stamp on the pad and you are so good to go. GREAT JOB Simon and team!!!

I wrestled with whether or not to purchase these ink pads because they are pricey and I have other sets. However, they are worth the investment. These are so juicy and easy to use. Simon has an excellent brand!
