I've been art journaling for years. I've gone through 4 of the black DW journals so far and thought that was my favorite... until this one! The paper is different and thicker. The color is better suited for my style. It's just a gorgeous journal! I'm into mostly girlie/shabby chic art... after exploring many styles it took this journal for me to really discover that about myself. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this gorgeous journal! I really enjoy working on the denim pages. They hold all of the mediums I've tried... and it's a lot...beautifully! I've tried so many journals and have tried... and loved all of DW's journals... but this is by far my favorite one!!!!
I received this journal on my vacation last month. Then, after everything happened I took time off from work. This journal has been a saving grace. I just jump in to working on it with just about anything. I've used washi tape, acrylic paint, stamps, stencils, etc. I'm trying different techniques & using items I have not yet used. The denim pages are a 1st for me. They are a lot of fun. The heavy water color paper pages I have used different types of paint & ink on with great results. Next to learn to sow so I can do some sowing on one of the denim pages. This journal inspires you to just go for it & try different things.
This is so awesome. The heavyweight cotton paper inside is like the paper in the gorgeous Dina Wakley 6x6 white journal. Yay so big! 8x10 looks like. The canvas substrate is so fun texture and denim hmm such a cool idea. So excited to try different mediums in this. 26 pages of fun. Yay.
The blue journal puts a twist on my inspiration. A good twist. Like it because it doesn't look like a text book, and it is brighter that the standard black journal.
