Full Description & Details
Your mixed media crafts will be looking Sterling when you use the Alloys Alcohol Ink by Tim Holtz for Ranger Ink! The ink is specially formulated with unique metal powders to create intense metallic highlights when you combine it with Alcohol Inks and Alcohol Blending Solution on non-porous surfaces. Use on Alcohol Ink Yupo, Alcohol Ink Hard-Core Panels, Alcohol Ink Cardstock, Foil Cardstock, Gloss Paper, metal, glass, glazed tiles, and more (all sold separately). Included in the package is one .5 fluid ounce bottle of acid-free silver ink that is made in the USA.
I have the gold and wanted to get the sterling color, but it doesn't work as well. It gives a streak of silver and comes out fast, but it doesn't separate and create the cool effects that the gold one does.
Are the Alloys similar to Ken Oliver's metallic Colorburst Powders? I know those are watercolors and the Alloys are alcohol inks, but are the effects similar? Thanks!

Other than the watercolor/alcohol ink difference, the Alloys are opaque metallic colors that will always rise to the top and stay opaque. The Liquid Metals Colorburst products seem they could be made much more subtle. Hope this helps!
