    Wonderful Product, A Must Have

I use the same product Tim talks of in his video, same formula as his new distress glaze. He's so right it really goes a long way, I purchased an extra container when I discovered it would no longer be made and still haven't had to open it. I find it indispensable when stamping on envelopes to be mailed, and anytime I want to seal water based ink or paint. I even use it on my professional watercolor paint projects. Although it can be used as a resist, I haven't used it for this purpose. I highly recommend this product!

    Distress Glaze

Apply distress glaze to your distress oxide projects & watch every layer instantly come to the surface making it very vibrant & smooth. It seals in your projects making them waterproof. Only use a little, it goes a long way. This stuff is amazing & not just for oxides either. I sealed my pearl ex & perfect pearls projects with the glaze & it worked perfectly.

  • A Must Have!

I love using this as a resist medium (Search on YouTube for Distress Glaze Resist) AND for sealing my ink smooshing when I use alcohol ink paper (smooshing with Oxides OR alcohol ink). It seals beautifully and then it makes the layers of color just magically pop. WOWWEE!!

    Love this stuff!

I love all things paste, glaze name it. New to this micro glaze, I have used it in mixed media projects and it is delightful. Smooth, fast drying and boy oh boy does it take all things Tim Holtz but also gelatoes, scribble sticks to golden acrylic paint.
I will order this product again.
My order arrived quickly and the packaging was thoughtful and considerate.

  • Micro glaze

This is my first time using micro glaze. But if you use distress inks this is great. Goes on easily and you only need a tiny bit it goes a long way.

  • Can I use the distress glaze to prevent watercolors from fading?   By: mari.furukawa (09-Mar-21) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Distress Micro Glaze is an all-purpose paper protective cream wax coating for paper and art however, it is not marketed as a UV protectant . Apply this glaze sparingly over artwork for smudge resistance and a waterproof finish. This glaze protects inks, dyes, paints, acrylics, watercolors and ink jet printing.

  • Does the Distress Glaze need to be used on cardstock or watercolor paper? I used it on an envelope and it left a grease mark?   By: Nice day (30-Nov-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • It is meant to seal your projects with distress inks, markers, stains, paints, and more so it should work on most any paper surface. You just need a tiny amount however. • Can thiis product be used to seal alcohol inks? I want something over my alcohol ink projects because its my understanding that alcohol inks on Yupo paper can smear or chip off. I have
not yet tried alcohol inks for my card making but Ive purchased all the supplies.   By: Ana W (03-Dec-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Alcohol Inks do not flake or smear off of Yupo however, if too much Alcohol Ink is applied it can form a thick layer which can flake on Yupo. Yupo is a synthetic paper made of polypropylene which is a surface that is non-porous and because of this it isn't absorbent. If you do not over puddle your Alcohol Inks you shouldn't have this issue. The Micro Glaze will not absorb into the Yupo it will sit on top again becasue the paper isn't porous.
