You'll practically smell the pine trees and forest air with the Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink Pad by Tim Holtz for Ranger Ink! The package includes one raised ink pad that is a combination of water-reactive dye and pigment ink that creates an oxidized effect when sprayed with water. Made in the USA.
The color is definitely beyond beautiful BUT the lid was not scored. I couldn't open it. My husband used a Swiss Army knife to cut around to remove the lid which resulted in gush of ink all over the place. Ink on the floor, ink on his clothes, ink all over my hands. We've managed to get the lid to close and I hate waste so I'm going to keep this ink pad in a zip lock bag. I'll be asking for a store credit if I can figure out how to do it. This is the second ink pad that has had a lid I couldn't open. Tim and Sizzix can do better.
This is a green that was lacking in previous Distress colors. A wonderful dark green.

Very happy to be able to buy all in one bundle. I always regret not buying something because buying everything separately is more expensive and some items may be out of stock. So happy with my purchase that I bought speckled egg.

Great rustic green color. A very welcome addition to the Ranger ink line.
This color is amazing, and blends well with other colors in the line.

It would be nice to have the option for all colors to be put in bundles with the other matching color products. Unfortunately that was not an option when the distress products first came out, they only had the ink pads and some paints.

What is the difference between Distress Oxide and Distress Ink? Is there a difference in how they are used?

The color palette is the same however Distress is a Dye Ink Pad and Distress Oxides are a hybrid of dye and pigment ink and when mixed with water creates an"oxidized" effect that you won't get with Distress Dye Ink Pads. They are used in the same way but you get different effects and they can be used together as well.
What do you use to clean your stamps after using Distress Oxide Ink?

I use shammies that I buy at the auto parts store. I cute the cloth into fourths, get one wet, and store it in a zip lock bag. It's the best thing I've ever used for my stamps. Inexpensive, no chemicals, only water required, so no waste.
