I always like to buy the reinker with the pad, just in case the pad may be a little dry. Always happy with Scrapbook.com. Great service, great quality merchandise and fast shipping! Tim Holtz ihas super products!!
I use the mini pads most often as water paint. Since many of the mini pads are not available I'm considering purchasing reinkers to use in the same way -- by putting a drop or 2 on a pallet and then painting or for ink smooshing. Does this seem feasible and doable?

Yes, you can use Distress Reinkers to watercolor and you can also make a palette and drop ink into the Distress Palette (tip30034) wells or your own allowing the ink to dry then anytime you want to watercolor you can reconstitute the ink with a drop of water/water brush. The Distress Palette also makes your water coloring portable since it has a hinged lid. No more carrying any inks except the palette and your brush. For Ink Smooshing the same effect can be achieved by adding drops of Distress Reinkers on a craft sheet.

Distress Reinkers are not meant to fill your markers as the markers aren't refillable like Copics for example.
