Reinkers are an inexpensive way to extend the life of your Scrapbook.com Premium Hybrid Ink Pads. To use, simply shake the bottle, squeeze a few drops on the ink pad surface and work the ink evenly into the pad with the bottle nozzle. It’s that easy! Now your Scrapbook.com ink pad is rejuvenated and ready for more creative projects.
But don’t limit the reinker to just extending the life of your ink pad - it has many other creative uses as well! Here are some fun ideas of what else you can use them for:
What is the difference between dye, pigment and hybrid ink?
Dye inks are water-based and literally dye your paper. The ink is soaked up by the paper or cardstock so they tend to dry fast. Pigment inks are made of tiny particles that will sit on top of your paper and will take a longer time to dry. They tend to be brighter, with a denser saturation of color and work well with dark colors of cardstock. They are also great for heat embossing since they stay wet longer. Hybrid inks are the best of the two ink types (dye and pigment) as they have properties of both inks. They also tend to be more translucent in their appearance. Hybrid inks are suitable for all skill levels of crafters due to their compatibility with multiple mediums and surfaces.
What are color families?
The Scrapbook.com Hybrid Inks are designed in color families. Each color family has four individual colors numbered 1 through 4 (1 being the lightest shade in the group and 4 being the darkest shade of the group). Color families are an extremely important aspect of layered stamping because each of the four colors coordinates together to achieve a dimensional, layered look. Every Hybrid Ink Pad has the color family name and the color family number clearly labeled on the lid along with the name of the ink pad and the ink shade. NOTE: The 1 color for some color families is designed to be an incredibly light whisper of a shade for that group.
Tips for use:
This is an exclusive Scrapbook.com product!
Number of pieces: 1
I bought several of the Scrapbook.com Hybrid Ink Pads in various colors and I love them. They are a great addition to my ink pad collection. However, this color is so light that I can't see it. I have used it with stamps, sponge applicators, directly from the pad onto paper, nothing! There is a very, very faint tinge of pink but nothing like in the photo. I realize it is a number 1, the lightest of the group, but my Caribbean, which is the lightest of the Cyan group, is excellent.
Again the other ink pads I purchased are wonderful, I would just make sure you want a really light pink if you are purchasing this one.

The product display showing the color is completely misleading. The ink provides NO color that is visible without squinting. I do not recommend purchasing this product unless you want something that appears as if you've spilled oil on your paper/item. Did anyone test this before placing it on the market? If so, how did they approve a color for the site that is no relation to the actual product???

I worked on a project using this ink yesterday and I was amazed! I was using small solid stamps and at first, I thought it was going to be too light so I double stamped. However, on the second try, I just went with a single stamping and it turned out perfectly. The stamp pad is juciy and the color lays on beautifully. I can't wait until the other two pinks come back in stock and am looking forward to using the other sets I bought.

Ballet slipper is a faint pink but very pretty. I started off light and you can tell the color was light. I added more layers to achieve a darker tint for my card but it was worth it.

The pad is wonderfully juicy! The ink stays where you put it, dries in a reasonable time and is just beautiful! I'm going to try to get every color and reinkers!

I needed a nice pale pink and this is the one. I am very happy with the colour, just the tone I was after.

I love Scrapbook.com ink pads. This is my 1st reinker from them. However, It doesnt drip out like other refillers. At 1st I thought there might be a seal over the opening blocking the flow. But there isnt. Thats why I didnt give it 5 stars. But again, Im a fan and I recommend their inks. It just takes more time n patience to refill the ink pad.
I was hesitant to buy a "Hybrid" ink pad because I had never even heard of one, let alone try one. The selection of colors lured me followed by the affordable price. I have to say, I was blown away when the ink pad arrived! The color was true to what was advertised and the quality and performance of the ink is fantastic. This ink pad works as well as any other dye based ink pad. This is not a distressed ink product, but if you are looking for a good ink pad for stamping and shading, this is a great product for the price.
