What is the difference between dye, pigment and hybrid ink?
Dye inks are water-based and literally dye your paper; the ink is soaked up by the paper so they dry fast, it’s almost instantaneous. Pigment inks are made of tiny particles that will sit on top of your paper and will take a longer time to dry; they work great with heat embossing. Hybrid inks are the best of the two (dye and pigment) as they have properties of both types of ink. They tend to be a more translucent type of ink and are recommended for all skill levels.
Our hybrid ink pads are proudly made in the USA and feature an ergonomic design making it easy to hold; the lid snaps on the base that creates a handle so that it is easy to ink your stamps. They are archival, acid-free and feature a non-fading color ensuring that your stamped images will last for years to come. The ink is non-bleeding, you’ll have perfectly stamped images every time you use it and it’s waterproof when dry, so it’s easy to use with your markers and watercolors. Hybrid ink can be heat set onto materials, it’s a perfect choice for your DIY home decor projects. Included is one hybrid ink pad that is crisp, bright and fast drying.

I love this product line. I'm kind of new to stamping and sometimes I've not been happy with the outcome of some inks. This is what I've been looking for. The colors remain bright when they dry, and there is minimal bleed as well. For me, this is what I'm looking for - a nice, solid, colorful ink.
I received my Cyan Group purchase last night and just had to use them asap. Using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and the Beautiful Day stamp set by Altenew I was able to make a quick card for a coworker. I stamped each image twice to get a really crisp imprint.
For once I didn't have to dig through my inks to try to find a selection of ink that might go together, only for them to be a dud by the fourth stamp layer. The fact that each color is labeled 1-4 from lightest color to darkest in the group is a great time-saver when I'm in the grove and stamping several images at the same time.
I only have 3 of the Scrapbook.com ink groups so far and I'm absolutely going to buy more!
