What is the difference between dye, pigment and hybrid ink?
Dye inks are water-based and literally dye your paper; the ink is soaked up by the paper, so they dry fast, it’s almost instantaneous. Pigment inks are made of tiny particles that will sit on top of your paper and will take a longer time to dry; they work great with heat embossing. Hybrid inks are the best of the two (dye and pigment) as they have properties of both types of ink. They tend to be a more translucent type of ink and are recommended for all skill levels.
Our exclusive hybrid ink pads are proudly made in the USA and feature an ergonomic design making it easy to hold; the lid snaps on the base that creates a handle so that it is easy to ink your stamps. They are archival, acid-free and feature a non-fading color ensuring that your stamped images will last for years to come. The ink is non-bleeding, you’ll have perfectly stamped images every time you use it and it’s waterproof when dry, so it’s easy to use with your markers and watercolors. Hybrid ink can be heat set onto materials, it’s a perfect choice for your DIY projects. This kit is an exclusive Scrapbook.com product!
