Most of the adhesive these days are sky rocketing in prices. Some of them are better then others on the market. When you see how much footage you obtain for the price it's becoming scary. So much competition. I wanted to try a new brand of adhesive. I heard about this brand from another card maker/scrap booker friend. So I've placed two orders of these tape dispensers now (6 each variety both times) and after problems with some of the dispensers, I went and ordered some more Herma Vario permanent adhesive squares refills for my other dispensers (which are now hard to find but available elsewhere online). Those are what I used prior to trying the scrapbook.com adhesive dispensers.
There is good and bad with these scrapbook.com adhesive rollers which I'll explain as follows.
I think I've gone through about 18 of these now and had problems with 1/3 of them. Sometimes the dispenser tape gets stuck and it's hard to roll and other times the spring inside (which rolls the tape forward) pops out and it's difficult to get it back in and then to stay back in. What I end up doing if I have one with a faulty spring is to remove the tape from that dispenser and move it to another that worked properly (and is now empty). I've probably had 4 or 5 with faulty springs so far. It's a real pain when it happens.
These aren't sold as refillable and I hate throwing away so many plastic dispensers.
When the dispenser rolls properly I love them. The purple dot one is perfect for using with die cuts that are smaller in width than the regular adhesive roll. The blue roller adhesive is extremely sticky. No problems at all adhering photos to paper. I would say in this regard, they are better than the brand I was using before.
Both times I've purchased these on sale which was a great price. You don't get as much adhesive from one of these rollers as compared to the Herma Vario brand but at half the price (on sale), its a great deal.
I think some improvements to the spring are necessary and it would be great to see these reusable. The adhesive itself is great.
I am in the process of making a baby scrapbook for a friend of mine who is a new mommy and I thought this would be a great opportunity to try this adhesive roller from Umbrella crafts. I LOVE IT!!! Very impressed and I would definitely purchase this product for all my other projects that are waiting in line to be done. :)

I really like the way this product comes out of the dispenser, smooth and precise on long or semi-long lines. Although this is a permanent adhesive, it is movable before it really sets in. What I didn't like about the product was it's use on small items, such as flower die cuts. I found that these often came off of the placement and the dispenser didn't like short lines, thus the 4 out of 5 stars.

These umbrella craft rollers have been very difficult. The tape does not roll out smoothly, and the rollers jammed a very short way through. I this this is why they were on sale. My club and I had problems with all 4 that were opened. They stuck, only a small amount of the glue came off on the paper when rolling it out. One the tape broke,

I started scrapbooking several years ago and always used double sided photo splits to adhere everything. Since switching to adhesive rollers, I don't know how I ever managed with the photo splits. They were time consuming and messy. These rollers are so easy to use and so quick. They make scrapping so much more fun. I always have them available in my bag.

My order was correct and arrived in a timely manner. However, I found the same product at a local store for 20% less! That was the regular price (not a sale price) so in this case I would have been better to buy at the mall. I have purchased several items from Scrapbook.com that, many times, I could not find any place else and/or I saved money – especially on special sales. So I will continue to shop Scrapbook.com but in the future, check the mall first for the best buy.

As another inquirer asked,...does this adhesive line have refills? I'm interested in roller adhesives, however, it's much nicer to save the planet with less plastic! Refills are a great way to save money as well. There are other lines of adhesives out there with refills. Please consider refills if they are not available at this time!

I am from Canada and I am wanting to order this tape! There is nothing even close to this price where I am from! Everything is so very expensive and as a new mom I am on a tight budget! I'm just wondering if I was to order from thus site, how likely would it be that I would actually receive my product? I would hate to spend the money and have it get lost in the mail or something! Also what would happen if it DID get lost or I didn't receive it??

They do ship to Canada and I have always got what I ordered although it does take longer to get here but it certainly does arrive. I really like dealing with this company and you will too. Hi. I am also in Canada and have had no problems with receiving products. Don’t forget the exchange rate, shipping and customs cost when ordering. I buy anyways as this is good product and there is nowhere close for me to shop.
Can anyone compare the Umbrella Crafts Permanent Adhesive Roller Tape with ThermOWeb Permanent Memory Tape? I have used the ThermOWeb product for years and am pleased with it...but am always open to try new products.

Adhesive reacts to the environment you are using it in. We live in a dry climate so the same adhesive might act differently for someone who lives in a humid climate. If you are looking for a SUPER STRONG adhesive you might consider this link We found that this adhesive tackles all the tough paper crafting projects like a dream. Once you add it paper to paper, it won't come off without tearing the project. This might be a good option to consider if you are having trouble finding a great adhesive to use for cards.
