Works best with Spellbinders Platinum Die Cutting & Embossing Machine. Can be used with Spellbinders Contour Steel Rule Dies as well most etched dies and embossing folders. They do what they are supposed to do. I wish that plates could be made so that they don't warp so easily and so badly over time.
I always keep an extra set in my stash...they will need to be replaced if you use your machine frequently...
I have a new Platinum 6 cutting machine from Spellbinders, but it didn't take long before the cutting plates began to look well-used and left impressions on items that were being die cut. Having new plates is a real joy - no unwanted impressions on my card stock.
I have used the same plates for a long time. Even though they are etched and cut, it doesn’t affect my project. They will bow but won’t break. Just keep turning them and alternating the bottom and top plate.
These arrived in a timely fashion in excellent condition! Great service!
I have a machine with a 6inch opening and these plates at this price for 2 of them is Fantastic! Again I have the Spellbinders Platinum machine, and this great that I can use these in that machine as well! I will be back in the future for the Spellbinders Platinum Cutting Plates as well.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend using these plates with any machine other than the Platinum machines.

I just got the spellbinders platinum machine. I have never had a die cutting machine before and I love it. However I don't think that I am layering the right way and have tried all of the ways they list in the booklet. Both of my glass plates actually have etchings on them of the dies that I was cutting. Should this happen and if not what am I doing wrong?

That's completely normal! Try to keep one of the plates for underneath the dies and one for the top. That way you don't get etching on both of them. If the top plate has etching on it, sometimes it may show on your die cut. Also, rotate your plates from time to time so they don't bend and break that quickly.

This is completely normal. The cutting plates are meant to be replaced over time and will get etchings of the dies in them. Hope this helps!
