This six piece etched metal die set, Stitched Ornament, is part of the Stitchmas Christmas Collection from Spellbinders. This die set features an ornament in a teardrop shape with a topper and two sprig motifs to hang the ornament with. The dot designs are a guide to stitching the patterns with embroidery floss and a needle. This die set can also be used as-is. These dies are compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). These dies can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, journals, planners, and other paper crafting and mixed media projects. The ornament base measures 3.15" x 4.4", the sprig measures 2.15" x 1.56" and the other sprig measures 2.2" x 1.05", and the ornament topper measures 0.4" x 0.55".
Tip: To embroider this design, use two strands of a six-strand DMC Floss or DMC Diamant Metallic Thread and a size 22 tapestry needle (all products sold separately).
I enjoy stitching on paper. This die creates a shape that can be use as an ornament, so I attach it to my card with just a ribbon. The second die that comes with it can be used to cover the back of the stitching. I date it and the recipients not only receives a lovely card, but has a keepsake to hang.
