Questions & Answers
  • Answer is the book mark die is good. The large one I do not what it is. I cannot get the middle of the big one too cut. I paid a lot of money for them, not happy   By: amccracken202 (15-Mar-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I don't know what you mean by not being able to get the inside of the large die to cut. If you are cutting the large die out, it will have a solid center, with the fancy top cut out in the lacy pattern. If you want the inside of it to be cut out, you would need to use the outline die and position it evenly on top of the large die cut, to open up the center of this die. If you want the lacy pattern in the center of the large die, then you would need to use the lacy die and put it in the center of the large die cutout. I don't know if this helps, or not. The die is versatile, which is a very good selling point for me, but it can also be confusing. Get a roll of Washi tape, or other low-tack tape to hold the die pieces together evenly. The tape keeps the dies from moving when you are cutting them out. Just cut out all the pieces and play with them. You can use plain white cardstock, or scrap cardstock. Have fun. I know die sets like this can be confusing, but if you play with them and have fun, no telling what you could turn up with. Spellbinders offers gorgeous dies and some are very intricate, but I would definitely recommend this particular set to others. :D By: mawmawvee (10-Jun-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Try a shim; sometimes a 100# weight cardstock will do the trick, or an acrylic shim. Also try placing the die in an alternate position on your cutting platform. I believe Spellbinders' website has additional troubleshooting tips. Good luck. By: MicheleYRM (16-Mar-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • There are two dies in that set.....one is the filigree part and the other is a plain rectangle you put on top of the filigree and the filigree still shows at the top with a small portion around the sides.... You put the two of them together for the final look....hope this helps...it really is nice. I made a bunch and gave them away..... By: paulettew (14-Mar-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • There are three dies in this set, not just two. There is the large die, with the fancy design at the top, the outline die that fits inside of the die with the fancy top and the lacy die inset that fits inside of the outline die. The first die, with the fancy top cuts out with a solid bottom part to it. The lacy die cuts out a lacy pattern and the outline die fits around the lacy inset. I know, clear as mud, but it's a beautiful die set. By: mawmawvee (10-Jun-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
