The metal on the burner part is rather sharp. That’s not a problem for using it, but you’ll want to keep it away from children. My set was missing the wax beads (there was a space for them, but the space was empty). The melting spoon does not rest on the burner so you have to hold it the entire time you’re melting the wax. I’m mildly underwhelmed with the kit.
I had been watching this item on the Spellbinder sight, but couldn't justify the cost, then it was sold out. Was so happy that Scrapbook.com had the item. Didn't wait to purchase at a bit less cost. I am so happy I purchased this item. I absolutely love it and have used it for some of my cards. It certainly adds so much to the appearance with a wow factor of "what is that"? I am waiting for more items which I have purchased to go along with the starter kit. Love it and it is so relaxing. I did watch several "how to" videos which made using it easier.
A new addiction has started for me. I love doing this! It creates beautiful wax seals in very little time and effort. Plus all the other colors and additional items you can buy....here we go.
I watched a tutorial on this before I bought it and couldn't believe how easy it was. Plus, the starter kit has EVERYTHING in it so you don't need to buy anything but the kit (if you don't want to).
Of course, I've tried it a few times and now I'm buying all the colors of waxes, additional metal spoon, and more stamps. It's addictive and I'm hooked.
