One of my favorite scrappy tools is my Sizzix Texture Boutique! I love that it is lightweight & small, so it is easy to store/takes up very little space and easy to move around/take with you. I also LOVE that it is so simple to use! Just place the piece of paper you would like to emboss in the embossing folder, put the folder between the two black plates, put the "sandwich" in the slot and crank the handle of the machine until the embossing folder/plate sandwich comes out the other side! There are only 2 identical black plates and one goes on either side of the embossing folder--no messing around with a bunch of plates and trying to figure out the right shim to use, like you have to do with some manual die cutting/embossing machines. If you are not interested in a manual die cutting machine, but still want the look of dry embossing, Sizzix Texture Boutique is available for less than $30

Just starting out with embossing and found this to be a great dry embosser. The machine is lightweight and easy to use and gives you deep embossing, it's really impressive! Use with Core-dinations paper and you get a neat look if you sand the raised image. Very cool tool!

Boutique embossing machine is great for the beginner to advanced card maker.... I have just recently started making cards after years of scrapbooking, and I can see where this machine will help me with designing both scrapbook pages and cards. easy to use, folders don't cost a fortune, and with imagination, you can find all kinds of ideas for different ways to used this machine. Highly recommend.
It's little. It's cute. And it's NOT pink.
Did I mention it's not pink? LOL!
IMHO, this 'lil beauty is perfect for anyone with an electronic cutter, who wants to do dry embossing. I rarely use dies any longer, but hauling out the Big Shot is too much work to emboss sometimes...
This machine has a small spot under my desk. It handles the Sizzix embossing folders, as well as Cuttlebug folders, with ease, and does an excellent embossing job. Then, it pops back in it's 'lil spot!
It won't use the larger Sizzix Texturz plates, so keep this in mind.
2 mops up! :)
I got this when it was 50% off at Michaels not too long ago. I originally got this just for the embossing because I already have the cricut and wasn't needing the die cutting that other similar products offered. Does exactly what it says, with ease!! And not to mention how cute it is! =) I would recommend this to anyone who want to emboss only, and have no need for die cuts.
Thanks Megantheforumtech for such great advice on whats also accessible with the embosser.
My daughter and I were so excited to use this tonight. It was easy and just plain girly fun to use. I have to stock up on folders now so I can make lots of pretty things.
Thanks also to my friend Phillyscraps that recommended and made sure that I got one!

This machine is so easy to use, I had so much fun trying different cartridges, and to think I used to sit and dry emboss with a stencil and embossing pen... You will love the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine!
I thought I would have to use some muscle to turn the handle in order for the paper to fed in...not true. It turns very easily and makes a great embossing!
Pros:
-It took me 30 seconds to assemble the handle (with the screwdriver they provided - how convenient is that!).
-Super easy! My 4 year old watched me work it once, and then started embossing every piece of paper in my folder of scraps - by herself.
-It's adorable!
-Uses dies from other brands with no problems.
Cons:
-Just wish it was bigger!
