I am giving this a three star only because I am having issues with it cutting all the way through instead of scoring, I have tried this die on the Big Shot, Big shot pro,so all and all I need to play a bit more till I get it right, which is odd, with Sizzix-Tim Holtz Bigz because usually they are awesome first try, so it may be just a user error on my part, the jury is still out for me on this one. Update I have cut several of these since the last post on the Vagabond without issues, I think the problem was too much pressure.
This is a very useful die cut. Love adding it to my collection of Bigz Die. What a great way to show off your work. So now I can show off those projects and share with my family and friends when they come over. Such a practical and useful die to have.
the only down side is that if I use thin chipboard (aka cereal boxes) it tends to cut through the score. Easily solved by gluing paper over it. I'm also going to try substituting something thinner for one of the cutting boards to alleviate the pressure.
I think this is going to be useful, but I did discover that you must use a crease pad when cutting easels. Without a crease pad, you will cut all the way through the chipboard. It also took several trial runs to get it to cut through my thickest chipboard. I got the best results with the stiff cardboard that comes in the designer paper packs.
I plan on using the easel on the back of cards that I'm using for examples in classes that I teach.
