Description & Information

Tim Holtz's set of three Embossing Diffuser Templates and Three Insets comes in the shape of a circle (with a 3 1/4" opening/inset), an oval (with a 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" opening/inset) and a wider oval (with a 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" opening/inset). Sizzix gives crafters more options with the templates and insets. Remove or add texture anywhere within a Texture Fades, Texture Trades or Textured Impressions design when used with a template. It's compatible with the BIGkick, Big Shot, Vagabond and Texture Boutique (not included). Just make a sandwich with an embossing folder and material between a Cutting Pad (or one Embossing Pad with the Texture Boutique), the Embossing Diffuser (using either the template or the inset shape) and the machine's included platform (not required with the Texture Boutique). Then, roll it through your machine. The Embossing Diffusers ensure optimum pressure and height needed for pressing thin material surfaces - like paper, cardstock and foil - when used with a Cutting or Embossing Pad. Measures 4/5" x 6" x 1/8". Your Embossing Diffuser will make thousands of impressions.
  • When you use the template in the sandwich, it will emboss completely around the Embossing Diffuser opening.
  • When using the inset shape, you'll emboss the inset shape only.

The EMBOSSING DIFFUSERS Changed My LIFE!

I love the embossing diffusers! I can't stress enough how much I LOVE them-

They TRIPLE the amount of embossing folders you own.
How? Because now, instead of just embossing some with one design, you can emboss all but a circle, oval or wide oval, of the the design. OR you can only emboss a circle, oval or wide oval- get it?

When I first saw them, I was confused by them- I didn't understand how they would work. Don't think about it- just buy them. Order them NOW. You won't regret it!

      Welcome

An easy answer to a challenge I have wrestled with for a while. Why didn't I think of this. A must have for card makers who emboss.

Good quality product. Still learning to use this but see the possibilities it creates for card making and embellishments for scrapbook layouts.

      Love it

I used the diffuser to make a birthday-graduation card. It was easy to use and did what it was suppose to. They recommend taping down the diffuser when using the oval or circle cut out and you mus do this for it to work right. If you don't tape down, it will move (ask me how I know).

Check out my card I made at http://darlenemcg.blogspot.com/ using the diffuser (oval cut out)

    Product Questions & Answers

    • In reading the other question, are you saying that you just put the diffuser over the paper in the embossing folder and the oval will not be embossed?   By: jillie22bee (04-Mar-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
      • That is correct. Use the embossing folder as normal and then place the diffuser on top just like you would your other plate needed to emboss. If you wish to just have a circle embossed place that where you would like it to be embossed and only that will be embossed. Where you have pressure is where there will be embossing. Hope this was helpful to you. Happy scrapbooking! By: tammy13 (06-Mar-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

      • the diffuser is used in place of one of the cutting pads, NEVER use diffuser with more than one cutting pad. If using just the diffuser inset shape apply a piece of double stick tape to the inset shape and adhere to the embossing folder in desired location.
turn the embossing folder over so that the inset shape is facing down. place a single cutting pad on top of the embossing folder and insert into machine. Only the area of the embossing folder that makes direct contact with the inset shape will be embossed. By: ms match (04-Oct-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Can this diffuser be used in a Cuttle Bug?   By: dbranston (10-Aug-14) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
      • Yes, this diffuser can definitely be used in a Cuttlebug. The diffuser is just another plate that you use with your machine and embossing folder. The portion where there is a "hole" will not be embossed. By: jackietjuan (23-Jan-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

      • I do not use a cuttle bug so I am not really sure. However embossing folders do work in a cuttle bug and the diffuser is the same thickness as an embossing folder. By: dmwatty (12-Aug-14) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
