This concept of using this machine for only embossing folders works
great for me. My big kick takes a lot of abuse and sometimes the
embossing folders don't impress fully. So using a separate machine
for embossing folders will help and give me great results. small
and light weight. Doesn't take up tooooooo much room in my
overcrowded craft room.
I received this Texture Boutique for my birthday. I have enjoyed it very much. It is not as big as some but it serves my needs so far. When I see people cutting from dies using the bigger machines I remind myself that that is what I got my Cricut for. I have had no trouble finding additional folders for it and have been having fun making creative projects.
When I first heard of emboss only machine, I didn’t see sense why people have a Big Shot. Now! luv this compact emboss only. Don’t have to hazle with plates only what comes w/machine. Instructions clear.
I bought this cute machine thinking it would emboss more than embossing folders. If I hadn't thrown away the box I would have returned it.
Sorry, it says embossing machine so naturally I would want it to emboss dies too.
Only because I am a beginner do I rate this as a 4 I love this machine but am still learning everything about. It isn't intimidating as I thought it would be. Great for starters.

I am enjoying making embossed layers for cards with this machine. Absolutely perfect for this job and doesn't take much room up in my storage drawer.

Is this just for pqper or can I use it on thin leather?

This was a present for grand daughter. I would think since it is for embossing that it would not be suitable for leather. I would go to the Big Shot or Cuddle Bug for that.

You need embossing folders and it only embossed not a die cut machine,..

Will this machine accept 3D embossing folders?

No. It can not take thick embossing folders. Use only paper, because the throat is narrow and only 4.5" wide. I bought it as a light weight to take to Scrapbook Conventions Evening Crops to cut out words from the many words dies I own. It works good on small dies less than 3 inches, but not as well on 4" frames.

The Texture Boutique accommodates Sizzix Textured Impressions, Texture Fades and Texture Trades Embossing Folders (up to 4 1/2" wide) as well as ShadowPress Debossing Folders. Unfortunately, the 3D folders will likely be too thick.
