This Sizzix mini album die is a great design and so useful. The cover shape is attractive and the binding will hold a nice amount of pages, depending on the weight of the paper. I used a 110# paper for the cover and pages to be decorated, and the thinlit die cut it with no problem. I consider this a one event album and will be making them for my college kids and for gifts. This is a wonderful, useful item....and so much fun to make.
I've wanted this for a long time and finally bought it. I love the ease with which after several passes through my Tim Holtz Vagabond, and a piece of string/ribbon/yarn = I have a Mini Album. I've made nearly 3 dozen in the first week, for a friend's daughter's ballet troupe. The mom's are 'dressing them up' to commemorate the end of this Spring season's performance of "Snow White". I was tickled to be included, as even a 'constructionist'. I love making "blank" items which others can turn into a multitude of personal keepsakes..... I make the 'canvas' upon which others 'paint'. I cut construct the fundamental cover, pages, spine, and decorative page covers...... and they add the love, stickers, pictures, and artwork. This die has IN A WEEK, been put to test for it's durability...... and it's still performing well. MY ONLY SUGGESTION... is that they might include a 2nd spine piece, to make thicker booklets. I folded my paper and managed to 'increase' the thickness of the spine for more pages... but IT WAS FOLDED. I've tried several ways to widen that spine, but it always leave me with a fold in the paper - one that I would like to avoid. Still......... I DO LOVE THIS......... and when it is no longer useful - I WILL order another...... I really like this little album die set!!! Thanks Sizzix and Scrapbook.com......
