Tim Holtz Alterations Thinlit's Die- Gearhead

Anything Tim Holtz I love and I love the look of Steampunk and I needed to have this die because it has a lot of dimension to your page.

  • don't pass up if you love gears

This die set is fantastic!! they cut out great on my cuttle bug and spellbinders machines. So many sizes to choose from, I used some thick copper mirror board and the look is so real. I used the circles left over that pop out, for studs. One of my new favorite die sets.
Tase can really look like real metal pieces, with the right paper or painting a rust technique on them. So beautiful.

    Tim Holtz

I love the Tim Holtz product line. I am currently making a scrapbook for my Mother-in Law. I have lots of old pictures from her childhood, and the Tim Holtz products are excellent to use with Heritage items!

    Super set of dies

These dies fill a void in masculine type paper products, however they are also good for women who are mechanics and those who are into antique cars. Very pleased with my dies.

  • Is there some trick to getting the paper out of the dies? I purchased the brush tool but I still can't remove the paper very well if at all.   By: Dazymama (25-Jun-16) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • If your paper pieces are really stuck, perhaps you might add just one piece of card stock to your sandwich under the dies, also try adding wax paper on top of dies, then add your paper as usual, I am thinking by your description that your pieces perhaps are not cut through as well as they should be, just a thought for what it's worth. Hope this helps you and happy die cutting By: ladylake69 (19-Jul-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Try using release paper between the die and the paper/cardstock.
I use the Kaisercraft and Couture Creations brands but I'm sure there are others available as well By: TracyM - 6773 (19-Jan-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
