Need to highlight the fact that it is only ONE plate you are purchasing. Other-wise I'm happy with my purchase.
While I have not used them yet when I bought my Big Shot it came with the extended platform. I thought it made sense to have the extended plates so I could cut more at one time. Am looking forward to trying.
Disappointed that there was only one plate per package. I should have read more details but since two plates are needed and others I have purchased came with two plates I made a very bad assumption and now only have one extended plate. will eventually get another one but had to go to a box store and purchase 2 standard plates in order to complete my project. They came two in a package. Confusing.
The extended plates are perfect for the bigger catds and the longer card layouts. Works perfectly for cutting many critters or flowers at once, too!
It is just right, and fit my extended plarform that i received with my electric Sizzix.
I just purchased one of the XL journal dies which require these extended cutting pads. I'm always amazed at how durable the pads are when they make those horrible crunch sounds as you crank them through the Big Shot machine. But they hold up! They are so crystal clear and lovely when they arrive, you almost hate to get them all scratched up as you use them!
This set of Cutting pads are a work horse the first pair I had I used 8 years only bought new one because I bought the new Vagabond2 as my original of of 10 years wore out.
Product arrived on time & no problems using them.
I ordered these and later was told the didn’t have them in stock. Very disappointed.

I, too, am confused. I don't understand how you can use only one of these extended plates. I can't imagine one plate doing the trick. HELP me understand.

With any of the platforms, you have to have 2 plates. In the regular length, they usually package 2 of the cutting plates. With the extended mat, if there is just one, you'll still need two and have to purchase them separately. The extended magnetic platform IS longer than the regular one!!! I think the reason for that is that Sarah Bernard? (fortunately for you, Scrapbook. com has her on a free class showing how to use her cards and the plates/magnetic mat) has those cards that need you to put all the component parts all at one time. I would recommend that you not use just one plate in the meantime, the magnetic platform is expensive and will get ruined. I have used the 2 plates from my standard length platform without a problem.

I have just purchased a Sizzix Extended Magnetic Platform. Cutting pads did not come with it. There is very little info. about cutting pads being necessary but the platform is not to cut on so I know they are necessary. I've looked all through Scrapbook inventory and only find one. Shouldn't they come in pairs? My local JoAnn doesn't carry this item. Help!
