Since the die is one piece, how do you get the different colors? I like the green on the edge, but I don't want it in the rest of the cut.   By: User (26-Apr-18) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • You can use white paper for the die cut and then color as you wish. I tried felt pens and it was tedious. Didn't look as good as in the example. By: susanschwinge (27-Apr-18) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

I'm a bit confused. Do you flip the die over to cut the opposite side of the card? I want to be sure I'm not damaging any part of the machine. I have an evolution advanced will the die work with that machine?   By: User (05-Aug-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • First I will say I am not familiar with your machine. Most dies will fit most machines but You may want to check with company to be sure.
Second, the die is an overlay for the gate card with rounded corners. If you have a gate card die of any kind you can use it, just round the corners. Then you cut 2 of the fronts separately. Wax paper is a great help. I have a Vagabond 2 and bought the precision cut plate for more detailed dies. That made a big difference in cutting the die with one time through the machine.
One thing I was not happy about with this die, it does not cut a mirror image. Meaning, if you want the same ends to match at top and bottom like it pictures on the package, you have to use the backside of the cut image on one side. But I will say the design is nice with opposite ends at top and bottom. I don't know why they chose that placement on the package, to me it's deceiving. The die doesn't cut the design in both directions. So one side looks sort of debossed if you want the same look as the package image.
I have made one card from this and I cut in white watercolor paper and hand painted it. I think it came out nicely. I would post a picture but I mailed it to my cousin before I realized I forgot to photograph it. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions just ask.

    • Die cut white card stock that is 100 lb for good stability. You can use wax paper or wipe your die with a dryer sheet for easy release of the die. To get the different colors, simply use a dabber for each color. By: jkworrell (27-Apr-18) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
