How to care for the Foldaway machine:
Over time and due to normal use, the machine may become dirty or dusty. To clean, use only a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) poured onto a clean paper towel. With another clean dry paper towel, wipe off any residue. NEVER use bleach or abrasive cleaners on the machine. The machine DOES NOT need to be oiled or lubricated.

I just ordered and received the Big Shot Foldaway. I went to a crop this weekend and was so happy with its performance. It is great. Sized just right to use at home or easily carry with you to a crop. Does not take up the space the regular Big Shot does. I was not disappointed. Very happy with this purchase.
I love this machine. This is a wonderful embossing and cutting machine. Way better than the machine I had previously. So glad the other company quit making my other machine otherwise I wouldn't know how great this machine performs. Super happy with the handy instructions both on the plates and online in videos.
Sold my regular big shot because of a smaller work space, the foldaway came in the other day and I started using it right away...I love it!!! fits in my small crafting space but gives me all the use of a regular big shot...and even cuts dies and embosses even smoother! I went from large stampin room to very small and this Sizzix is AWESOME.! This one has he fold up sides with storage for my tools for it and I love how the handle folds in and makes it so compact. This is the best ever! It is even easier to crank the handle than my old one! Thanks Sizzix.❗️
I replaced my old Big Shot from Stampin' Up with this machine and I couldn't be happier. I love how it folds up when not in use because I have a very small crafting area. It works great and one of the bonus features is the storage area for small dies, or whatever flat item you might want to store there. I was concerned about having this sent via mail, but Scrapbook.com packaged it well (as they do with all items) and it arrived safe and sound without any issues.
The size is as advertised. It takes up a very small space. The cutting mechanism is powerful yet very smooth in operation. I have used it daily for at least a week, opened and closed it with no problems. I am thrilled with this machine.
This works just like a normal Sizzix but now I can close it and put it away if I don't need it! It takes a lot less space. Warning though, it isn't any lighter :)

I've only used the new Big Shot Foldaway Machine a few times but it works well. I haven't had any issues. I plan to take it with me to craft retreats. I think it will be much easier to tote with the ability to fold up.
I bought this because it was getting harder to find plates for my Cuttlebug. I am so happy I did! It's approximately the same size, so storing is not a problem. And I love the hidden compartments that hold small dies! The Big Shot works great for my needs.

Can you use the original big shot platforms and magnetic platforms and plates with this new machine as backups to what comes with the machine?

Does it take the Bigz dies? I have over 50 of just Tim Holtz Bigz dies not counting others, so it is important that any new die cutting machine I buy takes the Sizzix Bigz Dies.

Yes, this machine takes Bigz dies. You simply need to use one cutting pad on the bottom and one cutting pad on top of the Bigz die with no platform. Hope this helps!

Hi to whom it may concern, I�m a big shot user, my work space is small and very interested in the big shot foldaway ! My question is it sturdy ? Does it rock or move around your table when cutting a die ? Your response will be much appreciated.

It is a great machine. Any die cutting machine will likely move the surface around with use as it does require some force.

I see that you can use 3D embossing folders in this device, however, I am not seeing the instructions as to how to use them. It says the instructions are in the box but I am not finding them.

Hello, the sandwich to use 3D embossing folders in this device will be the platform, embossing folder, and 1 clear cutting plate. It can help to put the folder at a slight angle on the platform base when running through your machine.
