How to care for the Foldaway machine:
Over time and due to normal use, the machine may become dirty or dusty. To clean, use only a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) poured onto a clean paper towel. With another clean dry paper towel, wipe off any residue. NEVER use bleach or abrasive cleaners on the machine. The machine DOES NOT need to be oiled or lubricated.

This works just like a normal Sizzix but now I can close it and put it away if I don't need it! It takes a lot less space. Warning though, it isn't any lighter :)
The size is as advertised. It takes up a very small space. The cutting mechanism is powerful yet very smooth in operation. I have used it daily for at least a week, opened and closed it with no problems. I am thrilled with this machine.
I love this machine. This is a wonderful embossing and cutting machine. Way better than the machine I had previously. So glad the other company quit making my other machine otherwise I wouldn't know how great this machine performs. Super happy with the handy instructions both on the plates and online in videos.
Sold my regular big shot because of a smaller work space, the foldaway came in the other day and I started using it right away...I love it!!! fits in my small crafting space but gives me all the use of a regular big shot...and even cuts dies and embosses even smoother! I've only used the new Big Shot Foldaway Machine a few times but it works well. I haven't had any issues. I plan to take it with me to craft retreats. I think it will be much easier to tote with the ability to fold up.
Perfect! Fits so easily when creating and neatly folds away while working on other parts of the project.
I went from large stampin room to very small and this Sizzix is AWESOME.! This one has he fold up sides with storage for my tools for it and I love how the handle folds in and makes it so compact. This is the best ever! It is even easier to crank the handle than my old one! Thanks Sizzix.❗️
I had purchased the Sizzix Sidekick as I was new to diecutting and was not ready to commit to a larger purchase. But, I loved it so much I decided to move up to the Big Shot so I could use larger dies. Absolutely LOVE this machine and highly recommend to anyone for scrapbooking and card making.

Can you use the original big shot platforms and magnetic platforms and plates with this new machine as backups to what comes with the machine?

Does it take the Bigz dies? I have over 50 of just Tim Holtz Bigz dies not counting others, so it is important that any new die cutting machine I buy takes the Sizzix Bigz Dies.

Yes, this machine takes Bigz dies. You simply need to use one cutting pad on the bottom and one cutting pad on top of the Bigz die with no platform. Hope this helps!

It is a great machine. Any die cutting machine will likely move the surface around with use as it does require some force.
