Not all mechanical engineers are men, but many are. And sometimes it is difficult to find quality embossing folders that are perfect for a man. This is one of the man-pleaser tools that you should have in your "go to" box! You will be pleased with this product as will the recipient! You can easily use this card plain or embossed. In fact, you can use it by stamping the folder with ink then rolling it through your embossing machine for a quick card! I highly recommend the Tim Holtz 3D embossing folders. The artist does not release embossing folders unless they meet his super high standards and he sets that bar high for his 3 D folders!
I realized I had basically nothing to make a mans card which is odd since I make the majority of my cards for the men in my world. So when I saw this I knew I had to get it. I’ve already used it and OMG I love it. Super glad I got it.
I have a spellbinder platinum. The pattern tended to fade towards the end of the folder. I ran the bottom half twice and It turned out great. I took White card stock and covered it with graphite gilding polish in circular motions, then ran it thru and it is gorgeous! I’m going to use it with my grandsons scrapbook pages.
Dizziness Mechanics 3D Folder works great for guy cards or a girl interested in gears. My granddaughter drives a tow truck so I plan to use it for her birthday card. I used it this weekend for my husband’s and grandson’s birthday on Tonic Mirror cardstock. Stunning!
I I love just about all things Tim Holtz, so this is right up my alley. I’m a card maker and find some of this great size and verities image and not just for men’s cards some of us ladies love this style too! .
The details you get with Tim Holtz 3D texture embossing is unbelievable. I want to collect as many as possible. I made my own metalic paper and then embossed using my new 3D folders. I'm using them to make a covered box for my grandson. Very masculine, or steampunk. Thank you
Tim Holts Mechanic’s 3-D embossing folder is one of the coolest folders I have. I am impressed with the details and how well the embossing stands out. The folder is easy to use and the details are very crisp. I am looking forward to creating beautiful cards with this embossing folder

Is it possible to use this 3D embossing folder with Spellbinders Platinum 6? It's not listed as compatible. a different sandwich?

Hello. Yes this folder will work with the Platinum 6 although you may need to adjust the sandwich.

Can this product be used on the Sidekick?

Unfortunately, this embossing folder is too larger to work with a Sizzix Side Kick.
